Games back in the day of Zero to Dial-up internet were completed or at least 95% completed, the glitches and/or bugs were minimum so, as a campaign player I did not care whether a patch would come later or not (again, can't speak for the MP guys). This does not happen now a days when the game is launch half finished and they, fully knowing of the state of the game, have the balls to come in with DLC before even the first patch does anything but to ruin what was working before.
Using the excuse that pirates are the cause of this is getting old because in a normal world, they would be the ones who would be called Pirates by selling a game in that bad state.
A pretty bold statement, in view of the disaster of the division it would be interesting to know if the engine is snowdrop, google points to a thread in this forum which either I am blind or do not state clearly.Originally Posted by UbiKeeba Go to original post

Snowdrop > see current status of the division forum
maybe it is the name of the engine which makes the difference, something sunny may help :-D
Again... I gotta call BS on that. If this is too hot for you get the hell out of the kitchen. You want to sell a complex product and make gizillions of dollars... finish it or make it playable from the get go...BS excuses and you are one of those people that is helping lower the bar every time they come out with yet another shody half baked product.
Oh yes, well, this is an RPG so it is ok for the bullets to bounce and not kill anybody. Oh yeah well, this is a very complex super duper Mega Hyper Next Gen shooter game so it is ok to unload a full clip on an enemy and the guy being on super duper steroids will not feel anything so yeah... not our fault. Oh and if we want to make the game run and game, even if you are behind cover, we will make you move or else you will die from a miracle bullet that can turn around covers.
And finally, we got the best hype gimmicks of the best marketing campaign.. We are working hard to make this the best game ever and this time is true. What? other games? Nah, no worries my friend, trust on us that this time is true and for real, see, we even invited some of your community friends to Paris, we dine them and wine them, spent peanuts compare to what we bambooz, erm, make on our games and now we have them as our shields.
They have gotten complacent and lazy because they code everything on the console that sells the most, get their money and then the porting to pc is just an afterthought and F it if it doesn't launch optimized because we have a whole bunch of good excuses to give to the PC world and they will have to eat it.
Let me guess... you also believe that we are all winners and we all deserve a trophy for participating?
Negative ghost rider... make the game on the pc, test it, then come back and test it again, have alpha test, beta test and test it again... work as hard as I do for my money. Everybody today wants to make big money but they don't want to be bother with work, oh no... leave me alone so I can have time to text, pinterest and instagram myself to death. Oh and please, allow time to face book and face time with my friends, otherwise, they won't know if I am alive or not and they will worry. God forbid we try to do a normal day's job.
@Givemetactical. I don't think games you mentioned are disasters but the way how you think about the game devlopment is clearly a disaster.
I will don't go deeper in what Bluefox said ( he almost said everything and asked you the good questions ) but I think you have to question yourself on your wrong ideas about actual game devlopment.
You are angry about it but I think we are more than you and even more angry about how you can talk about devs.
I think that you don't know anything about : actual game devlopment, dev's implication and engagment (extra work time), helping with your own ideas, ... and it's a shame that you don't realize it ...
I am closing this thread as it has become toxic, and no longer devoted to giving meaningful feedback that the devs can use to further progress in the game. While we appreciate constructive feedback, this thread seems to have become more about anger thrown between community members than it is constructive criticism for the game.
