How do people get 200k+ and 90k+ with armor cap??

Idk I just don't understand it....does it really come down to how good the talents are? Or does it have more to do with the stats on your gear? I understand the more firearms the more damage the weapon deals and all that but I'm at 2700 firearms, bout 2200 stamina and 1000 skill power. I'm left with 146k, 65k and 15k. I have all 31 gear and my friend even has a few 30's and he has about 195K dps with about 3000 firearms. I'm clearly doing something wrong just not sure what. Please help!

Ya man I agree I have mostly high end gear at only 30. I built my class around a strong stamina Nd I have 109k health I get pretty much shot twice by any agent in the dz and km dead. I always think to myself I may as well just get rid of all my stanima and Stack it all on firearms. Seems like the thing to do. From my experience . But I'm stubborn and stick with it hahaha

    Agreed.

However for someone who has better aim than I do, Accuracy is way way better to have. It basically focused the shot within a small reticule and that is just great. My aim moves like a bumblebee and I noticed I perform better with less accuracy.

OP, DPS is not a stat you should care about since there are too many things that go into the calculations. It is also calculated based on the assumption of sustained over time. Skill-up on youtube has found a formula that should be the most accurate now. Point is however you shouldn't care about it.

    That being said:

    - Crit Chance + Crit Damage fit into the DPS equation. (hence smg)

    - Accuracy greatly factors into it as well. but more suited to players with great aim.

    - Weapon Talents: some of them boost your DPS so they factor in.

    - Bonus attributes can be found on Gear Mods and Gear Items, You have one that gives you about 5K Skill Power (1000 Electronics give 10K Skill power), which might be worth recalibrating (wait for 1.1 and do it with normal credits).

    - Mod Slots: Some items have 2 mod slots, and with the right attributes it can all feed into the DPS formula.

Regardless of what you see, the best question here is: How are you performing? The numbers are irrelevant unless you are using them properly. And if you feel you are taking down enemies just as fast as others, then who cares about anything else?

Cant tell you without seeing their gear, dps is really easy to inflate in meaningless ways, but i mean if you want help welcome to add me and we can talk about it.

Keep in mind Firearms isn't 1% extra damage.

Double Slotted Chest Pieces with Armor Major attribute will give you around 1300 armor alone. You can slot it with base attributes after that.

All it really is is gear mods and slots.

DPS is bugged so I wouldn't pay much attention to it. Somehow equiping an MP5 with slightly better damage than my last one increased my dps from 150 to 170.

    Weapon Talents
    Gear Stats
    Mods

There are a lot of weapon talents that boost the reported DPS numbers. Anything with Headshot, Crit, or Accuracy will boost the numbers.

Gear can come with +1 to +3 mod slots.

If you are lucky and loot or craft a gold item with high armor, good stats, AND 3 mods slots, you have pretty much won the internets.

Gear can also have +dmg, +health, +armor, +skills etc. that will boost the base numbers.

Gold mods can add a hell of a lot of stats to your weapons and gear.

Weapon mods will add to the base numbers if they have +headshot, +Crit, +Accuracy, and +magazine size

Gold Gear Mods will add +firearms, +Stamina, +Electronics in addition to another stat.

If you get a Gold Mod with +Firearms and +dmg you will see a large increase in your base DPS number.

As others have said, the base DPS number isn't the brass ring everyone should be trying for.

It is far more important to get good weapons talents that you either have, or can, unlock, so that they can be used.
