Community Spotlight: TeriXeri
Hello riders!
This time around we have a PC track builder and Ubisoft Star Player up in the spotlight!
He is none other than TeriXeri, and we had a minute to talk all things Trials, so check it out.
First off, tell us all a little about yourself.
I'm Pieter, 30 years old, from The Netherlands, and grew up with gaming.
Being the youngest of 5 children in my house, I grew up with game devices from the eighties: Phillips Videopac and Commodore 64. Later moving on to Game-Boy , DOS computer and Nintendo 64 and most of my gaming is done on PC since.
I used to spend most of my time on MMORPG games for years (2004-2013).
In 2013 I got into Trials Evolution Gold and now Trials Fusion, but I still play a lot of other games as well, mostly in the 4X, strategy, shooter, racer, builder genres.
What was your first Trials game?
My first official "Trials" game I played is Trials Evolution: Gold Edition for PC.
What is your first memory of Trials?
I stumbled upon Trials via Youtube around 2012, during a video series called "TETS" (Trials Evolution TuesdayS) and "Will it Donkey?". I really enjoyed seeing a game where people could create their own playable motorbike obstacle course content which really reminded me of my childhood memories of Kikstart 2 on Commodore 64.
Once I found out the game was coming to PC I tried it out and really enjoyed both playing and creating content other players could enjoy via Track Central, and that continued into Trials Fusion.
What makes you come back again and again to Trials?
The new content that's being created by the great community of builders means the game is different every day you play it and you can always go back to the 1000s of tracks available.
The amount of custom content increased a lot since the release of the Cross-Platform Track Central and I get to play tracks from the PS4 and XB1 on my PC.
Also as a builder, creating my own content adds to the variation of things to do in the game.
What’s your favorite Trials related memory?
Being able to visit the RedLynx Studio in Helsinki in January 2016 and the experience that came with it.
Also being selected to attend E3 2015 in L.A. and the 2015 Ubisoft Star Player program for Trials.
Seeing the Awesome Level MAX trailer in the Orpheum Theatre live during the 2015 E3 Conference, for the first time and then see that the title had Trials in it, had a great reaction.
Who’s your biggest rival?
I gotta say my biggest rival is actually the Platinum Medal on the in-game tracks, it drives me to improve my times, but even after that I still try to improve my times on tracks.
You mentioned your recent visit to the RedLynx Studio in Helsinki. What was that experience like for you?
Being able to meet and talk to the people who work at RedLynx in person, on the actual studio location made it very special and unique. Even more so when there's other community members around at the same time to share the awesome experience with. Putting a face/personality to a nickname is always nicer in person.
The conversations truly showed how varied the player base is and how many different ways there are to enjoy the game. For example hearing speedrunners talk about builders, ninjas about speedrunners, builders about ninjas etc. is just really fun as each player has a unique profile in my opinion.
There's no right or wrong, all share the same passion that is Trials.
What’s the best part about the Trials community?
The diversity of player types is really wide, there's builders, speedrunners, ninja riders, the same passion of the game series, there's always room to improve skill level or learn new tricks, be it in the editor or riding the bike. There are great people that help each other out providing information and tutorials or just showcasing each other's track creations in livestreams and videos.
Do you have a personal favorite builder?
Here's a list of builders I really enjoy their track creations :
KALzzone8, ConfusedMuscles, kalianhagle, SwampBalls, funktastic- , THDTE , IImayneII, IZEZ PRiNCESS , ll ManOnFire ll.
There are countless of others of course.
What would you like to say to all the readers?
Starting out track building:
Don't be afraid to try out the track editor if you have not but are interested in building. My first tracks weren't as complex as my later ones as I learned a lot along the way from tutorials, asking questions or watching the official editor livestream.

Also would like to thank Redlynx/Ubisoft to make this all possible.
Thank you, TeriXeri!

I particularly like this sentiment:- 'There's no right or wrong, all share the same passion that is Trials.'
