TLR - I want massive to at least explain their reasoning behind the changes in crafting and maybe a few other things. as it stands right now, not getting any reasoning behind nerfs that make no sense and outrage the community is only going to stop ppl from wanting to play the game. I've been trying to get others to buy this game and now it seems like I myself wont play it much anymore.
4 minutes before the servers went down, I FINALLY got my stamina, and firearms to be at a point to activate my weapon talents WHILE still having some skill power to support my team. it felt amazing and I could log off happy knowing I could try and go to the DZ to rank up. Never saw any patch notes before the maintenance.
Now that the crafting recipes have been nerfed basically 200-600% I don't know whether or not i want to keep playing?
Massive literally took everyone's complaint that crafting was the only way to get good gear, that we want to PLAY THE GAME to get our best gear. they took that complaint and wiped themselves with it and threw it right back at our face.
The droprates with the incursion MUST have atleast 50 purple drops of each crafting mat each run because otherwise no one will craft OR they will leave the game because through the RNG to get any HE item that you want is literally 1 in a billion or worse.
What I want is massive to post exactly how they came up with this idea and why they thought it would help their game. MAYBE IF WE HAD SOME REASONING BEHIND IT WE'D BE OKAY WITH IT!
The same is said about the PvE bosses that no longer respawn. they said there was a reason, we never got the reason. there might be something coming up but all this secrecy with the games future is not good when we are literally hoping that the games future will keep us wanting to play, instead of sending us away because the game's developers don't know **** about how MMOs work.
would just like to point out HOW I got my last gear mod yesterday. I'm one of those players who hit 30 and want to be a little prepared before going to the DZ for real. been there a few times and died easily so I know the amount of ppl over geared is high. I needed 5HE electronics and 3 fabric. the fabric was no problem, that and weapon parts are easy to get. but the tools and electronics have been my nightmare for a while. I ran 5 CMs yesterday and only walked away with 10 blue elecctronics. literally ran around an empty pve world to get the other 15 i needed. I felt like the challenging mode is too slow to get any crafting materials to the point that IM doing the same thing as bottlenecked players did for divtech. I rank a route to get them but this one has no risk for me since no enemy players and only lvl 25 scrub trash. it was a boring 15 minutes but i walked away with 2HE electronics and 8 of the other ones
. It's a sad state of the game when I run around in circles instead of playing the game and I feel like i progressed a little bit. I should be killing rioters/prisoners/cleaners to get progression out of my game, not going to a store to collect leftover supplies! so massive, explain your reasoning to us for this change!
Shush!!! Don't ruin a good rant like that!Originally Posted by Arsenic_Touch Go to original post
oh :P I only read the patch notes as i got up today, so i thought this was patch notes for what was done yesterday.Originally Posted by briljin01 Go to original post
well still makes me upset that I only got my mediocre build finished just before they bottleneck progression again to the point where it seems like i wont be able to make many of the BPs wanted from the DZ for a long time. incursion better give me enough HE crafting mats each run to atleast craft 1 gun and 1 gear piece (fabric, weapon parts, electronics and tools) whether its through the item drops or just straight up dropping the mats. I no longer want to do some math to know that i need 25 CMs just to be able to make my 1 gear mod.
Please elaborate. Wouldn't it be better to wait as they may eliminate the gold DZ requirement for 31 gear?Originally Posted by TickTak77 Go to original post
He means converting all of your materials to the max level.Originally Posted by drizzt1138 Go to original post
Thanks make sense....thank you.Originally Posted by Arsenic_Touch Go to original post
They aren't eliminating DZ tech. They're moving some DZ6 blueprints to the BoO, those blue prints will remove requirements for DZ tech. Any blueprints in the DZ will still have DZ Tech requirements as usual.Originally Posted by drizzt1138 Go to original post
