    Hey guys,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Can I check that you have tried steps that are motioned earlier?

    What worked for me...

I went into the Far Cry 3 Folder- then open the bin folder. Rt click on the farcry3.exe- Click properties, then Compatibility. Under compatibility Mode, I clicked Windows 98 and then clicked run program as admin. It finally worked.

This method also worked on the farcry3_d3d11.exe and ran much smoother. Good luck.

    look in Program files X86 \ Steam \Steam apps \ common \ Far Cry 3 \ bin

right click on the .exe file \ select properties

    select the compatibility tab

check the box that says "run this program compatability mode"

and set it to Windows 7 fixes it for some ...

you can also set the .exe to run as an Administrator right there
    too .....

or run the windows 10 Compatability more troubleshooter from that same window
as some times that does work for some other games and older windows applications

and try launching both steam as well as Uplay as Run As Administrator

next verify your game file why you have steam run as admin

To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam ..\EXIT Steam ..right click your steam icon ..select run as Administrator

    to launch Steam

then go to your Steam games library

    right clik on your game

    select properties

    select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems in case you got a bad download or your game is missing a required file

umm bro. I tried this. but after the `verify integrity of game files`, it shows `1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired`. I have done this like 20 times and it still shows this message. Help please

For peeps that got Far Cry 3 recently and have issues launching the game, there is a very good thread here: https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...ped-Responding

I used the number 7 trick to create a gamerprofile since it makes sense to launch at lowest settings, but it still would not launch past the start up little window.

So I went and double clicked the FC3Updater from the folder instead to see if that might help and BOOM! she lauched in seconds! So for me the normal launcher simply stops at the start up little screen, but the FC3Updater launches the game super fast.

    On my 64bit windows 7 it's Start>Computer>C Drive>Program files(86)>Ubisoft>Ubisoft Games Launcher>Games>Far Cry 3>bin>FC3Updater

I hope it helps others too 'cos this game is sooooo coooool! ;D

    Have fun!

BTW I also run a bunch of really cool games like Assasins Creed 3 and Hitman Absolution, on this old 2007 pc with just the 128MB integrated graphics card and even on lower settings the graphics stunning!
