    Tips for extreme tracks?

I have all the tracks except the last 2 from the showdowns and they're all platinum apart from Woodwork Conclave and Widowmaker. They're from the tier 3 extreme track pack and I just can't get platinum on them.

For me the tracks aren't enjoyable and I end up quitting from frustration so I've hardly played them. I want to have all my tracks platinum though so does anyone have any tips for those tracks? Or just general tips for extreme tracks that other people are struggling to complete?

I find that the harder the tracks are, the more you have to stick with mastering the fundamentals. There really arent many tips/shortcuts in most cases.

Single best thing; watch the ghosts of those in front of you; if you are trying to reach Plat then play the first 2-3 that made Plat, to see how they did it.

If you want to see it instead of playing against it... take a look at this, from 2 minutes onwards (covers both tracks)...

As xitooner said, it's all about mastering the fundamentals and honing your personal skills, so the best thing to do is to just keep playing those 2 tracks and you'll get quicker and quicker the more you play and get used to them !!

If you're getting frustrated at certain points then it's only because you haven't mastered that section yet, so just keep running each section until you've mastered them all then you can work on joining them all together for the complete clean Platinum run that you're wanting.....Some tracks just take a bit of time to learn and master new techniques to find the best lines before you can get that shiny Platinum medal !!

!! Hope this Helps, Keep Working at it and you'll get them.....Enjoy !!

Learn the tracks checkpoint by checkpoint , memorize it and learn whats next to know if you should land with your frontwheel or your backwheel or both wheels....play the track until you reach the point that you know when to release the accelerate button , when to lean back , when to lean front , and doing it without thinking...after many many many tries your fingers will go automatically to the correct order and combination like you are playing "piano" and BOOM , at this point you have platinum , even a top 100 time.....its like learning to play a song , note by note

I have a specific question about the best way to land after a frontflip so that you connect with a jump right afterward. Specifically in The Refinery and Hilltop Ghetto. In The Refinery you always have to do that front flip. On Hilltop Ghetto you don´t *have* to frontflip but either way you´ll be landing and having to connect with a jump. Question is what´s the ideal way to land so that you can immediately do the next jump without pause. What´s "the basics" in this situation? Like always land with front wheel first... or land without leaning forward... I´m not sure how i do it, i fail alot of times and then occasionally it works but without consistency. I´ve noticed different things work on different situations, for example on The Refinery sometimes i´ve done the flip in such a way that i end up landing way back on the bottom platform then i just keep leaning forward hit the gas and the next jump happens no problem, but most times i do the flip and i land right close to the edge and then can´t make the jump for lack of speed or something else. Same on Hilltop Ghetto, you land right on the edge of the next jump.
