You can kick the random, set your group to friends only and then start trading.Originally Posted by MM COREY USN Go to original post
From the time of the drop you have 2 hours to give that drop to any other player in your squad that was in your squad at the time of the drop.Originally Posted by Sean Blaze 410 Go to original post
When he said that you will be safe, he meant that only people that are in your party can pick up items you drop so you can simply go into a squad with the player you want to give the item to and nobody else will be able to steal it.
You can only trade in the safe zones in the dark zone so you dont drop the loot when you are about to get killed to avoid losing it.
Outside the darkzone you can trade anywhere.
They Implemented it this way so you don't pay people to farm for you, but instead you work with your squad to get your whole squad geared.
Hope that clears up some of your confusion.
Where can I get that signature cardOriginally Posted by Jack-N-Danny Go to original post
It does, BUT (lol), I believe these things will still have to be extracted, so the items can still be lost. Unless we are able to extract, go to the stash, and then trade.Originally Posted by Taddl666 Go to original post
I understand the part about paying someone else to farm for you, but it's nt like money grows on trees in this game. I don't see what the problem would actually be at that point. So it's okay to be a rogue and kill agents for no reason, but being a mercenary is out of the question (WHAT LOGIC IS THIS!).
In your honest opinion... Do you think that players are going to demand a better or more traditional trade system?
I only wanted to write up the information they gave.Originally Posted by Sean Blaze 410 Go to original post
They didn't explicitly say but I think you will be able to trade before and after extraction as long as it is within the 2 hour limit.
I personally don't get why the didn't Implement a exchange window where you could safely exchange gear pieces with other players. (probably cause it would have been more work)
I get that people are not very trusting on the Internet, on the other hand. I don't know if an exchange situation would happen all that often.
Because of the 2 hour timer, if you drop something and someone in your group needs it, but you don't want to gift it to them, the person now has about 2h with you in the group to pray that he gets a drop that you need. And we all now the drop rate ingame. Its just very unlikely to happen.
Pretty much the only reason to trade something is because you don't need it and someone else does(for example the support gear set piece if you are the assault player), and I guess that the devs didn't want to make it too broad as to not encourage paid farmers, bots and a gigantic ingame economy they need to balance around.
Which most likely isn't because they think its wrong to be a mercenary, but because they dont want their game to be played that way.
Of course the part about what the devs intended is pure speculation on my part.
Ok, seriously, all u people that are complaining here have no valid arguments. if you watched the reveal stream yesterday you would have heard how his works. to the people saying u drop it and someone even the wrong person will grab it and leave, this cant happen. if you get a drop u dont want, you put it down, someone else can pick it up and see if they want it, if they do, they cant just take it. the devs said you still have to confirm that this is who you are giving it to. its only for people in group also, and not currently owned items just reward drops. so strangers cant steal, your buddies cant grab and destroy for giggles. the trade has to be confirmed and agreed by both parties. to all you saying wait and see what its like...congrats for not assuming you know exactly how everything will be.

This is actually wrong. At no point did any of them say that anyone had to confirm anything. They said that if the wrong player accidentally picks something up he can still drop it again so the right player can take it. Which is already what it says in the post that you linked.Originally Posted by NasT65 Go to original post
edit: People are not worried that the wrong person picks it up. They are worried that if they want to exchange gear between two players one of the two could pick up the gear and not drop the item he agreed to trade before.
I watched this and most of what you said isn't true. He explicitly said if you make a drop anyone in the group can pick it up? What if you're playing with randoms in your group?Originally Posted by NasT65 Go to original post
How hard would it have been to create a peer to peer trade system? I watched The Division Special Report and took notes. At no time did he say you have to confirm the person you want to give the items to.
People haven't used the trade window in Diablo 3 since they limited traded items between a group with a timer, like this game implemented. They just drop it on the ground.Originally Posted by Sean Blaze 410 Go to original post
