You are exactly right ...... and you know what our Beloved Blizzard and UBI did ? F*** people. D2 gave the exact BP to success. Trading is one of them. But they said f*** people .... between catering to gamers demands they chose to SAVE money !! Because thats what it is !! Its Gaming Companies screwing their costumers to save money. Deciding to remove a successful feature to save money on tackling the problem.Originally Posted by SgtColbert Go to original post

Well to be fair, how would you combat the china farming? You can't really do anything against it. If you give people the option to trade items freely, they will start selling them for real currency. Which eventually breaks the game.Originally Posted by ramikz23 Go to original post
I myself have a friend who sold D2 items for a living for a very long time. Baalruns on 20 accounts simultaneously and ****.
Well i said nothing about winning a war on Chinese farming . Its all about investing enough resources to bring it down to manageable levels. Active monitoring and some level cap on trading and chatting to remove the lvl 1 alt spam. Active banning and admins ..... in short Resources that cost money .Originally Posted by SgtColbert Go to original post
Not sure how that works considering I have to be no less than about 3 feet from any object in the game to pick it up.Originally Posted by SgtColbert Go to original post
The devs forgot to take out a dev cheat that allows you to pick up anything from a distance by putting your crosshair on the rectangle that hovers above the loot and double clicking.Originally Posted by candycabngfl Go to original post
That fact has been around for at least a week, I kind of hoped that they would fix it with the patch tomorrow, but it doesnt seem to be in the patch notes.
Well you don't that's the thing. You can pick up items from 20m away.Originally Posted by candycabngfl Go to original post

Was that a dev thing? I thought it was an actual feature lol.Originally Posted by Taddl666 Go to original post
Seeing that if you snipe someone in the DZ you can't get to the body fast enough to pick up his loot. With this method you could pick it up from a distance.
I seriously doubt the trading mechanism is via dropping items on the ground. In wow you open a trade window and put the item to trade in the window. The trade does not occur until both players hit the ok button. Pretty sure it will be something similar.Originally Posted by MM COREY USN Go to original post
The way the trade system was describe was broken. It was very confusing. Okay so this is how he explained it. If we both are fighting a boss. The boss drops HE gear. If I don't want it, I can drop it and a group member can pick it up. Then he said it's on a timer. Then the question was, will you be safe while trading? He says yes, you have to be at a checkpoint to trade. But.... didn't you just say the trades will be made at the time of the drop and the trade is on a timer? It's broken already. Just make a genuine trade system. How hard is that? If I need Phoenix Creds and I have a HE chest piece ad my friend is like I have 500 Creds and you have the rolls I like why can't he give me currency or another item straight up in a trade. And the way it sounds is that trading will ONLY be in the DZ. Again forcing players to play one way. I like the DZ, think it needs a few changes, I don't mind the PvP (which isn't REAL PvP), but for the PvE players this is their gripe, they are being forced to play in an area they don't believe is fair to them if they aren't looking for PvP interaction.
