Hey guys!
This isn't a question but just a things we'd like to see in-game! I have had some thoughts while playing and I'm sure some other people have too, so this could just be a cool thread to throw some ideas up. You know never know, the Ubisoft guys might like what they see!
A few of my thoughts were;
1. The knife. I really like seeing it in take-downs and skinning animals, I think especially early on being able to actually wield it would be great fun! Even a few variants for crafting would be sweet! (stone blade, bone blade, maybe a claw or a tooth, even a bit of a mammoth tusk/rhino horn for a real nasty looking one!)
2. A little personalisation. I know that full of custom characters and things might be quite difficult to do but I think a little personalisation would be great, I really like the blue 'war paint' on the clubs and spears when they hit the right levels but I think it would be great to be able to use clay (maybe for an orangish/red colour) or certain plants for their respective colours.
3. Someone mention it on another thread I saw but being able to see more of your body in the first person view would be cool, your legs and torso really lol. You could even add some war paint like with the weapon colouring in the part above.
4. I know the majority would like Co-Op play so I don't think we need to mention too much eh haha.
5. My final thought was about the traps... maybe a little more elaborate or choice (pitfalls, snares?) Set up some nifty traps that you have to bait (with the right things for different animals) they could add some cool gameplay if you wanted to focus on being a real hunter/gatherer kind of guy.
I know not all the ideas are feasible, some of you may even disagree with how good some of them are haha! But I just wanted to these ideas down somewhere so add more if you have any cool concepts, gameplay ideas, or even just cool little things to see in game!
Cheers!
It is probably asking for far, far too much but I would love to see an expanded crafting system that allowed you to fully personalise your weapons from parts as I have mentioned elsewhere. For example the ability to put a choice of various shaped stone heads on your club each with their own characteristics and so on. For example a spike shape would give added armour penetration a flat one concussive bonuses. This would also carry through to arrowheads and spear heads each item given suitable bonuses depending on the materials used and how they are worked. Ultimately without going outside the technology available you would be able to create fully unique items by mixng and matching even down to some finishing decorative elements.
I know it would be a massive amount of work but it would be an amazing feature as part of a new paid for DLC expansion mini campaign. Imagine new npcs or even some of the old ones treaching you the deeper secrets of their craft including ideas borrowed from both the Udam and Izila.
That could be kind of cool and would definitely bring some much needed variety to the game's weapons. On a side note, I've got to mention you're misspelling Izilia all the time... just FYI....Originally Posted by vic_must_play Go to original post![]()
Something I would like to see is weather such as rain or snow. It would add to the realness of the game. That's the main thing I can think of that I would like to see.Originally Posted by PyrateRob Go to original post
The posibility of taming a whooly rhino would be interesting, but I somewhat doubt that would be considered as they're so powerful.
As for the actual, tamable animals, I would like to see it be possible to allow/disallow the blood on the wolf we get in the mission. It's a beautiful animal, and I love that wolf, yet it is a little distracting and not realistic as wolves do not always stay bloody like that.
To note, one issue I've had is where the tamed pet will 'zigzag' for no apparent reason when following. Other than that, I love the balance the animals provide through much of the game. I'm actually amused at those asking for rebalancing, as all that needs to be done is partake of a higher dificulty in game play. It's my first Far Cry game, and it's amazing! Keep it up guys!
