It seems like everyone has problems with the Dark Zone. My friend and I decided that we were going to be as ruthless as possible. If we ever went rogue we killed everyone that we could whether it was an accident or not. We got to the point that we were capable of dominating the Dark Zone so we began to turn on our own party and steal their loot at extractions. We believe that the Dark Zone is meant to be the most ruthless place in the game so we choose to be the aggressors rather than be taken advantage of. Seeing how people have such a problem with this I wanted to open up a conversation as to why people think that we should all treat each other with respect rather than trying to play the game how it is meant to be played? If we want to risk being marked rogue for the whole server to hunt why should we be criticized for enjoying the game how it is meant to be played? People want everything given to them rather than taken opportunities to better themselves. That's all we are doing. We had a blast and didn't back down to anyone.
I don't have any complaints about the Dark Zone other than I believe that it would be cool if when they release DLC they make the whole map Dark Zone, as if it was spreading because the size is an issue.
part of me agrees with you. i think the problem with the rogue system is that it feels like bullying and mugging. having a player stand over you and curse you out after he's ganked you with three of his mates isn't about enjoying a game its about being mean: peoples motives are psychologically warped because there is NO tactics its just "murder" lol. For sure, if a team of high end geared players are up against OTHER high end geared users then its an equal battle but this system taps into the inherent bullying mentality of ya average human and pits low end players against high end players and the *** hats exploit that. EVERY TIME I've been killed by rogues has been followed by taunting and language that would upset a hardened sailor. I agree thats that how the DZ has been "sold" and i think its a mistake. four players (or sometimes 8) against one/two isn't a display of skill.Originally Posted by Huwi3792 Go to original post
To be honest. i created a second character as i had friends who started later and the DZ is a much better place. rogue situations are better balanced and a lot more fun.
also i agree with you the the map should be open.
My friend and I do not taunt and curse out people. We stay in a party chat that allows us to communicate strategy for killing other players. I do think that the game would benefit from having better match ups as far as player gear. But I also remember being a low geared player grinding to have the same thing happen to me. So I believe that it stresses the importance of being prepared for anything at any time. This game has provided a sense of tension that I have not experienced in any other game. That is why I enjoy it so much.Originally Posted by DeductedSpy2 Go to original post
I NEED players to go rogue as I want the PS4 platinum. And one of the trophies is to kill 20 rogues. Now, I haven't killed any so far as I have been very casual in the DZ, but as I level up and gear up, I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for skulls. So please rogue yourself silly so I can get that trophy!![]()
I don't use in game chat. I don't have to hear them and it doesn't bother me. I go Rogue all the time and see no need for all that. Cussing people out, taunting them, etc. I'm not someone with the best gear (yet) but that's OK. I feel I'm more even footing. In fact, I WANT people to come back and get me, try to get their stuff back. Sometimes they do.
But there's no need for being nasty about it. In fact when you are nasty about it, you're just being a spoiled child. You're not a better player because you've got a big mouth. You're also not a better player because you can go gank a Fresh level 30. Where's the skill in that? None whatsoever. Sure, I'll gank one if I catch him napping but then I'll gank those that should know better as well. But I'm not nasty about it. I've no need to be. Neither do any of you.
That is the exact problem, i was playing today in the darkzone at level 30 wanting to increase my darzone rank from 25 so i could use my darkzone funds to actually buy some decent items from vendors, however i almost instantly lost my ability to do so, i only have a couple of pieces of high-end gear which most likely attributed to my problem, but i was dying within three shots to a player with an SMG, and when i pumped an entire magazine into him, he barely lost a sixth of his health, i don't want anything handed to me and i understand it was most likely because of my gear, but i feel as though if i wish to partake in the PvE of the PvP zone i should, perhaps with the ability to set my darkzone to PvE only. i am not a dedicated player to the game as i play with friends and we only play a few hours a night on weekends, so if i have some free time during the day and want to level a bit, i feel i should without my progress not only being impeded but actually lost to repetitive deaths.
I feel i should also add that i was in DZ01, the lowest possible area i was able to go, kind of a pain in the *** that players that are able to handle the higher level areas choose to enter DZ01 for some easy kills.
