2D camera
I just started to create a new track and I would like the gameplay / camera to be in 2D instead of 3D. So basically it's a side scroller. I didn't see the option somewhere by selecting the camera, maybe I just missed it. If not, how to simulate the effect of the 2D camera?
Also just out of curiosity, I wanted to have a white background (and maybe adjust the color later on). So far the only satisfying result I got was by using a lot of fog and the contrast effect on the camera. Is there a better way ? Because I can't create a huge plane behind and set it in white / whatever color I'll end up using.

To make the camera like 2D, move it very far away from the track and change the "Field of View" setting to a very small number. This will get the camera close to a 2D feeling.
For a colored background you could change the Sky Color in the Track Settings -> Environment Settings -> Advanced Settings. It will let you pick any color you want, and if you turn the "Far View Distance" down, the sky will cover more of your screen.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you need me to be more specific or clear anything up.

Thank you, it works and I can have this 2D feeling I wanted. However it makes the navigation weird and clumsy in the editor. It doesn't affect the gameplay when I test, but it's quite difficult to control the camera in the editor for some reason. I will continue to build my track this week!

You can get around that weird and clumsy feeling by making the "Field of View" tied to a "Variable Data Source". Set the value of it to 60 so you can move around in the Editor and deselect "Reset in Checkpoint Restart". Then create a "Set Value Event" to change the value 60 to your small FOV number, like 20. Under the starting checkpoint "Select Event/Filter" to be the "Set Value Event". This will change the Field of View to 20 when the track starts. Since you deselected "Reset in Checkpoint Restart" the value will remain at 20 throughout the track. When you get ready to release the track remove all this stuff, and just reset the FOV back to your low number like 20.
Hope this can help you navigate around, it can be very funky trying to work with a low FOV.

you can also uncheck the last parameter in the camera settings, don't know how it's called in english, something like display always visible
