    Starting new game

Sorry if this is wrong forum.

My son wants to play the game also, how can he play this?

I'm not quite done yet so I don't want to lose my progress.
I tried to log into a different PC with my account, but it still downloaded my saves and warns that it will overwrite all saves.

He has his own Uplay account is there a way to set it up there?

I would copy the saved game folder after each person is done playing each time to another place on your hard drive, another hard drive or desktop. And label it with the appropriate name. The saved games are buried in your ubisoft folder, and FC Primal is game #2010, if I remember correctly. You would then copy the appropriate saved game for each player back into the Ubisoft folder before starting each player.

It might be easier to use his own Uplay account and use the cloud to save his games. But I don't trust that method, and have lost progress in games in the past. So I do the above.

Actually on PC you can have multiple saved games, found this out a few days ago. You have to hit save and select a spot when exiting your old game, because creating a new game WILL overwrite the auto save file. I happen to have 3 different saves, started a fresh game from the beginning each time. The message that pops up when creating a new game makes it sound like it will delete your old game, but didn't. Not a bad idea though to back up your other saves in a different folder just in case something gets messed up. I don't know how many saved slots you can have for PC but must be more than 4 or 5...

Here is a german article about missing support of computer games to let friends play/test game without losing current save game.

This missing feature is not understandable. I hope Ubisoft starts again implementing this feature.

Sometimes I have people at my home. They want to try the certain games but I cannot let them start their own save game because I will lose my current save game after pressing "New Game" for e.g. Far Cry Primal..

In any case it should exist a small manual how to lead with the save game directory in special with the auto saves to avoid to loss them.

Hello Nolfinator, welcome to the Far Cry forums!

We don't have multiple save files in the game. However, here's a guide that you can use to manually back up your save file for the game. I hope that it helps!

I just do operations with files and folders to it, if such things happen. Or you can simply complete the game
