    Rare Lion Skin

Would've been nice to know that the rare lion skin and the rare black lion skin are the same thing sooner. I assumed it was a different beast and spent hours upon hours looking for a rare lion so I could upgrade Tensay's hut. Would have saved a lot of time had the game been more specific instead of assuming that it's obvious to everyone who plays it. I'm sure it was to some, but browsing around the net it seems I'm not the only one who made that mistake.

There is nothing like what seems obvious to others to throw you a curved ball with instructions.

This one did not get to me, I guessed it was the Rare Black Lion but I can see how you could think otherwise especially if you are used to precise information. Getting too literal can be one of my failings with instructions. Ideally they need to add the colour involved to head off any possible confusion as one tiny tweak within the next patch.

Sorry but it is kind of funny thinking about Takkar hunting for a nonexistent - mythical - creature as if on one of those stupid reality shows where they go searching for a mythical dragon but end up with some little lizard.

One of my pet hates about this game is the number of times I find myself running in circles scratching my....head, only to come to the eventual conclusion that I've been making things hard for myself and that it was so obvious all along. Like you said, getting too literal and overthinking things.

It's funny as well to think about Takkar stealthily making his way through the wilderness with a rare black lion as his companion, thiinking 'Where are they?!'

    I might have done that....

It's made a little more confusing when some animals have more than one 'rare' type. white wolf and striped wolf. And then there is the whole Leopard/Jaguar thing (well, that one confused me anyway. Can't remember which one I couldn't find on the map, but it isn't clear if they are found in the same place)

You are probably talking about Leopards they are sort of - almost rare - as they are actually Snow Leopards imported direct from FC4 and thus only found in certain parts of the north. It seems in game that all the rare types are only really rare until you bag them then they seem to pop up with far greater frequency. Killed multitudes of rare Black Dholes plenty of rare Black Cave Lions and White Striped Wolves and most of the others too after I got the stuff needed to craft.

I have heard that, in the up coming "Bob Marley" DLC for this game, we will be able to hunt and tame the extremely rare "IRON ZION LION"

I think you have spent too much time in Tensay's hut old man and have been hitting the blood and eyeballs a bit hard.

The game literally explains the way rare animals can be spotted & identified pretty early on. Full on case of user-error here...

The mechanism is not in doubt HorTyS but not all exotic creatures are coloured black the lack of a precise discriptive remains a one word ommission. For example there might have been an exotic Cave Lion that was not black which is technically what the quest suggests. A tiny matter but the omission is a fact and one that could be confusing to some players. I would personally just find it funny if I got ithis one wrong headed but some folks might get all angry and frustrated looking for a normal coloured exotic Cave Lion not existent in the game.

I am positive it would be utter simplicity to put the lost descriptive in as a very very small fix along with whatever other content comes along in a future patch.

Now I am thinking it would be fun to have a mission in a future Far Cry game which is funny because it has an element that is lost in translation. You are given a mission to technically to do one thing but are guided on by your interpretation to do something else which has lasting game plot changing consequences. Only here that is not likely as Takkar is a native Wenja speaker.
