In an RPG looter shooter I enjoy the PVE as I find it relaxing just playing against the NPCs. I still enjoy playing against other players but not in this type of game as you're never on equal footing. The type of combat you get in a game where gear can be improved is ganking the majority of the time.

For me I only enjoy objective-based team PVP in FPS like Battlefield, Titanfall, etc.

Here is an example of how to take care of a few rogue guys: https://youtu.be/xwz6KiG4PjQ

I was dzing solo and needed to extract but saw a few guys who called in a helicopter. Most times, people wont attack you but just in case they do, I throw a shock turret to stun them as soon as they attack, which should give me some time to react. This is just one way to use skills to give yourself an advantage over multiple people.

Youre obviously wrong, a lot of people on here are stating that they dont like the dz as it stands right now. Thanks for your input though, buddy.

    Because its not pvp.

Player versus player - the versus implicates, that two players fight against each other on eye level (relatively). Gladiators, showing of their skills and nerves. The darkzone is far away from it. It is opportunistic and due to the gear based nature of the game, extremely unbalanced. In addition, the darkzone is dominated gangs and griefers. Players versus one player.

On top: Time is money. And because its an equation, you can turn it around - money is time. Losing 5 hours of real life currency is not acceptable by people, who can only play a few ours per day.

The discussion would be non-existing, if thee would either be a pve-version of the darkzone (with slightly reduced droprates) or if the pve-area would offer an equivalent open world pve challenge (instanced missions do not count, because they are heavily scripted).

Im going to have to also agree with the above poster. The word HATE, as used, and capitolized and all is to strong of a word.

Heck Im level 54 DZ. I have alot of, if not all of the schematics you can get.

And to those who say, hey you can get this gear elsewhere, well where? My DZ schematics are level 31. My BoO schematics are 30.

There is a big difference there.

I can get my DPS upto maybe 150k at best. But my Crit damage is nowhere near where one of my new friends is, at almost 200%.

Hes headshot critting mobs for over 1 million damage. WTF?

Imagine that in PVP. How do you even slightly compete?

There is no balance in the DZ PvP, so it is rife for griefers with high end loadouts to kill with impunity those just trying to rank up.

Also in any game with a messed up RNG lot drop system like The Division I derive no enjoyment for having a rare drop snatched away.

I enjoy PvP in games such as World of Tanks because it is based more on skill, tactics and teamwork.

The Division seems to be designed to attract the most toxic type of griefers to the PvP.

I will try to answer you and not come off as bitter or hateful.

While I do enjoy and engage in PVP games, COD, BF, Halo, and 6 years of on a PVP WoW server, I have a dislike of PVP in general. I have never found, in games or real life, any enjoyment from competing against anyone. I just do not care to measure myself against anyone and I don't feel the need too. I generally play games to enjoy the environment and story that have been crafted, to work my way through the puzzles and challenges the designers have contrived for me to tackle.

For the record I do not even like real life sports, any of them. I can not stand the "trash talk" that takes place, or the over the top emotions that go hand in hand with the insults and superiority complexes found in almost every sports fan, and PVP'er. Take a look at any standard FPS lobby, League of Legends, or MMO Battleground/arena for a plethora of examples. I know not everyone is like I have described, but that is a significant minority.

I do not enjoy being made a part of someone else's fun at their decision and then be heckled for losing an engagement that started with a shot to the back, or while I am engaged in a firefight with NPC's. People are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling, and will take every opportunity to take every advantage against you, and then stroke their ego by tea bagging you and telling you how much you suck and to GET GUUD NOOB. After an 18 hour day of adult responsibilities required to maintain my wife and I's standard of living I don't need some simple minded mouth breather living off wellfare using my corpse to make themselves feel important, when I just wanted to unwind for an hour or two.

Now you will ask why I would buy and play a game that had advertised PVP as such a large portion of the end game? Honest answer is that I bought the game based on the fact that the rogue system would make this game a different animal in the PvP space. With the penalties for going rogue forcing you to really consider pulling that trigger, it assured that I could enjoy the pvp zone without running into griefers all the time being KOS would not be the standard. With such a large map that is not PvP I could enjoy a plethora of activities once I am max level without going to the PvP area if I chose. Sadly we now know that is not true and that is just dissappointing.

^ agreed with Original post , i prefer my blood pressure in order , also i`m fed up with same borked pvp concepts since days of UO , griefers , campers and just bored kids, so never been in DZ and never will be, until some iteration of PvE version apear. But for me personaly its even worse , i dont do PUGs either , thanks to all my previous mmorpg experiences , particulary WoW. And this game offers what for lone pve ranger after 30, two daily hard missions...
