I am just looking for the reason why people would prefer the vanilla algorithm based challenge as opposed to the challenge one faces when trying to outwit other real players? Other than the FEW players I have seen going rogue repeatedly in attempt to ruin the experience of others (this is something I rarely see, and I am in the dark zone every night).

Thanks in advance for educated, thought out answers...and for spelling ROGUE correctly
We don't hate Dark Zone we hate PVP in dark zone.

Heh, indeed. Love how the hype is still somewhat that the DZ is a giant social-experiment. Kind of hard to have a SOCIAL experiment if most everybody leaves and there's hardly anybody still around to initiate such an experiment, lol.

Last, I would say that there are still a lot of people who like the dark zone but its not a valid "social experiment" because there is not enough risk involved really. I think an interesting way to have the dark zone would be to have it so that you risk more than just what is in your dz pouch at a certain rogue level, you also risk losing your carried weapon and armor. This would deter certain people from running out into the dz with their best gear and having a huge advantage over others. Sure, some would be willing to risk more than others but that would be up to the player at that point. -- Just thinking out of the box with this one, im sure Ill receive a lot of flack for this idea but it could help fix some of the issues.

Yep, that is what going to happen soon, and would be the shortest experienced game.

I am never going to start a fight because going dying in general is punishing and even more so if you are rogue... And any fight started against me is over before it begins as I die in less than a second in a hail of SMG crits.

I hate PvP in general for most games because it means game systems and other people dictate how I play. I like to play how I like to play... And in a PvP setting unless you do what is best, you can't compete and just get stomped... And even then, people exploit bugs, think of every workaround they can, every shortcut they can and come up with every conceivable advantage to win... I just want to play the game...

I love when PvP'rs use this tone. Or use carebear.

As if playing PvP on a damn video game makes you some sort of macho, tough guy with l33t skills of badassery.

    Laughable.

I have no problem with PvP though I'll generally not initiate on people as I much prefer co-op style play.

When I do get engaged I'll happily fight back though sadly in most instance I will get obliterated but so be it, its a PvP zone and I accept that going in. However what I find hard to accept is high level players trawling the extraction zones in lower areas and waiting for that exact moment when your at the rope to pounce. This is just plain being a **** as the loot is most likely beneath them and the credits and xp I would argue are of little value to them as well.

I see all the comments about defending against this but honestly I see no real defence against that kind of attack as your most likely dead before you can do anything.

It would be nice if the game had some kind of defence for people at the rope like freakin guns on the chopper that will provide cover fire against rogue agents, that would kind of fit with the storyline as well I guess.

Anyway; I guess from now on I wont be going in solo anymore.

In general I still like the game but not sure for how long if this style of game play continues in the DZ and not much else to do.

    Cheers.

On topic: because it is horrendously imbalanced. Fully geared players running around with 120k+ damage, 60% crit and 50-60% damage reduction from armor preying on people newly 30 with a random purples. It is inherently flawed. Add in the losing progression due to some random guy happening to come across your path and shooting you in the back and it becomes a lesson in frustration.

People keep trying to say you dont have to run DZ if you don't want to, but honestly anyone who says that is being purposefully obtuse. Outside of DZ, gear is not only much slower to find, the best gear is completely unavailable. The best way to get good gear is crafting, and the best crafted gear needs DZ 50 and division tech.
Alot of those armor blueprints in the DZ that need 50 and Division tech are level 30.

Thats not the best you can get.

Some of the weapons are level 30. Again not the best you can get.

Running challenge missions will usually reward a level 31 armor piece or such at the end. With the boss dropping level 31 yellows.

Yes you could probably get some drops in the DZ, but why not spend that time running challenge modes?

Alot of the stuff in BOO is yellow 31 schematics, which is the best you can get now. Bought with Pheonix Coins.

Simple. When they said that the gear in the DZ wasn't better, only that it was easier / faster to get. As I've clearly shown, this isn't true.

As I stated, only a small subset of the HE blueprints are available in the BoO, and since character progression in this game is tied to the loot... well you can follow the rest. Right?

Never used shock turret, but will most definitely try this for DZ.
Is this still viable with the Shock Turret nerf?
