the problem is that reporting cheaters feels like taking placebos to cure a disease. feels good but just has no effect. i stopped reporting cheaters because i felt like i'm actually wasting my time. there was no feedback no nothing. i just send my report into the void and from there on nothing came back. then i log back into the game and get oneshot through a wall by a teleporting cheater so i can report again and waste more time.
without actual player feedback on the bans you will never regain any trust on that matter from the community
you will only run into cheaters on pc because they had the great idea to use "trusted the client" mode. So basically the server takes any crap that the client tells him. different thing on consoles.Originally Posted by Leanderalaysha Go to original post
Was going to say how Dijit from Massive was saying the whole client side trust thing wasn't true...but it seems that he deleted the post for some reason....That's not very reassuring.Originally Posted by Hamsta_Ger Go to original post

Actually going back, it looks like every post this Dijit guy ever did was deleted.
That's not a hiding something, probably was speaking out of line, so the higher ups said take the stuff down. Basically the way he laid it out was very bashing of the upper brass of Ubisoft and how they apparently handled the situation. I have no reason to believe what he wrote in great detail was inaccurateOriginally Posted by Kyosji Go to original post
That moment you find out your friend occasionally ran hacks and you didn't know by trying to log into the game and finding your account terminated....Originally Posted by JasonC81 Go to original post
