    Hand to hand combat...

Any chance if any game dev reads this make it so you can at least use a dagger or dirk something like that or simply hand to hand combat?

Nah, that would require Ubisoft to make some actual new assets and animations and they're never going to do that.
I feel sorry for everyone suggesting new features to this game... brawling, dynamic weather, better taming... etc etc. If they can't even fix the painfully high amount of bugs in a reasonable timeframe, they're certainly not going to bother with player suggestions.

Also, gotta love how a ****ing caveman can't do a single thing without weapons. You got 2 fists buddy. But no Ubisoft, let's make it so that Takkar can't use his hands for anything other than picking daisies.

plus the combat mechanic is so base-level and simplistic it would seriously just be 2 cavemen punching each other back & forth and never blocking or dodging each others strikes...

The no block no dodge remains an issue to me that if they plan to do any future games with melee in needs addressed. The fact that you only really stab with the spear is especially funny too as the spear also gives reach to slash and the haft in the real world grants all the capabilities of a quarterstaff making the spear an exceptionally diverse weapon. Also spears can be - set to recieve - were you plant the butt end in the ground so that charging foes such as big animals are undone via their own momentum - imagine using that tactic against a charging boar or an elk. The idea that these simplistic tools would offer only simplistic tactics - is just not true - but making them multi-functional would require more work and dev time on the mechanics side of things than Primal seems to have been granted.
