    Pathetic Izila (SPOILER)

I've never had much time for the Izila--illustrates exactly where humanity took a wrong turn development-wise--but on learning today that they'd been bettered by badgers I lost my last small respect for them.

BTW, this far South beast hunt does provide a good opportunity for those wanting to finish off upgrading Jakkar's cave.

I do not know if you have played FC4 but if you have you should know TO NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE BADGERS. Azila have few obvious lovable qualities beyond their advanced agriculture and technology. Still perhaps if we walked in their shoes rather than being their enemy we would think differently about them and their culture. It is sobering to think that we are all who we are to some degree via the accident of birth unless you believe in fate or kharma.

    Badgers...

Badgers in this game are a general nuisance over all, at least they can be outrun but are persistent little buggers. The small size makes them harder to hit, and when hit they keep on ticking.

I believe the freakish mission the OP mentioned had many Badgers infesting a small area which would be a plague on any settlement. Generally Badgers not too big a deal in Primal as if you listen out for them you can hear them chattering away in advance as an early warning.

I find the Badgers in Primal now more of an amusing annoyance than a genuine threat, I would probably miss the little beggars from FC4 if they were not included. Imo they are certainly nowhere near as maddening as the so difficult to hit Eagles. Thankfully in general far less Eagle attacks in Primal compared to FC4 unless you are travelling / standing near their cliffs which seems fair enough.

I find it fun having a few small animal opponents in FC games that break the general rule about bigger being more dangerous. Although Jaguars and Dholes can also be somewhat pesty. It is so embarrassing if you get nipped to death by a couple of cute (almost toy dog) looking Dholes early in the game. Little beggars seem singly so innoffensive but in a small pack can be murder due to cleverly flanking. Of course there is also the very difficult to spot snakes - understand a little better now why some local folks I knew abroad were a bit paranoid and environmentally unfriendly towards snakes: demonstrating a see snake must kill it attitude. I found it cursed hard to spot them in grass and undergrowth in real life too, mostly the only snakes, venomous or otherwise, that I spotted were dead ones road kill and the like.

PS Not advocating murdering snakes just noting that they do not tend to be the most popular of wildlife with some locals that have perhaps had friends and family suffer from potentially deadly bites. Still people do stuff everyday such as working barefoot in paddy fields with some very nasty snakes potentially slithering nearby.
