Simple Themed vs. Complex Decorative tracks

To be honest, i dont care much about a map when ever i see that the creator didnt care that much about it either. Every single time I play a new custom track on recomended i like to look at all the effort the creator did as well as the thought put into the line that im riding. and everytime i see a cheaply built track next to a complex awsome track. It sucks becuase I hate to play tracks with simple backgrounds and scaffolds everywhere with some boxes, to me it just feels boring after awhile. Maybe im nit picky or i like to play highly decorative tracks, but it seems to me that no one seems to agree w/ me when i say less decor is more but none at all is uninteresting. The fact is that if someone who spent 3 hours on a simple track will get as many if not more likes than the team or person who spent weeks on a complex build. I think the rating system is garbage but i dont want to get into y. BUT also not that many people know how much work a creator can put into one track. Sometimes if a builder wants everything to be perfect, it could take a few months. But if you just want a quick highly ranked track then go ahead and through on a random background onto a alright track, cuase from now my dislikes to tracks with no originality or decor. Let me know down below if you feel the same or just think im crazy and should just play the game And let me know which do you prefer simple, or decorative?

It can be simple or complex it doesn't matter as long as the theme and drive line are solid. Also the rating system is poop.

Thats what i thought too but the more and more i thought about it, i start to think that these childish cheaply made tracks are gonna be as good or better rated than a track that took a week. Thats not that fair considering sometimes these simple made tracks are just annyoying to play. which should never happen if the rating system was legit.

    Welcome to the forums Magoo,

I know what you're saying mate, I mostly like to ride tracks that have a decent line over the details of the track but if everything is in with effort then I tend to look and gaze at some things more, appreciating what has really gone into a track. There is nothing worse than seeing no custom objects about or has been bothered to at least detail it somewhat even having the less is more effect. Cause sometimes it does work out that way.

When I look through TC I tend to look at pictures that catch my eye to make me have a look at the track. But when I see floating ramps or names like mytrack, I tend not to bother. If they can't be bothered then why should you.

couldnt agree more. But one thing is that floating objects dont really bother me aslong as they put work into the other pieces around it and i understand that they dont want you riding threw ramp supports etc.. but i cant get over the fact that the career had a few stranded object but just because there was no way to make it fit and look good. Maybe its just the short attention span some players have and the creator do too but it seems like they also give up on trying the course if its not that popular of a track.
