Bah, they're just mad because I stole all their kills out of necessity.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post![]()
Wasn't Lockdown disaster in everyway possible anyways? I remember lasting maybe and hour and thinking that this isn't R6 game (kind of like Vegases).Originally Posted by DanHibikiFanXM Go to original post
Lockdown is generally considered by most to be the the worst Rainbow Six ever made, sure. Lockdown was the first major release that dumped everything the R6 series had been up to that point. It wasn't *completely* terrible but I do remember really hating it during my first play through of the game back in the day. To be fair I only played the console version so I couldn't say anything about the PC version. It had the unholy trilogy of linear level design, a painfully average campaign, and dumbed down gameplay.
More or less it's everything that I think just about everyone on this board wants to avoid with Wildlands.
This is Ubisoft. The system is gonna be as simplistic as possible to make sure everybody and their grandmother can use it.
The only A.I i'm worrying about is the enemy's. I hope they will at least put up a fight.
GRFS had a downright insulting amount of aim assist and the sync shot was basically a win button. Not to mention the almighty invisibility. As if they are terrified by the idea that someone might not beat the game.
I'll most likely get this game but i'm keeping my expectations firmly in check. You guys are just setting yourself up for disappointment.
I am glad I am not the only one that thinks that way... I promised myself not to give UBIscam any more of my money since Vegas and so far, I have kept it. I am hoping they will make me rethink my promise with this one but I have said it all along... I am not holding my breath just yet.Originally Posted by jihigh Go to original post
In my opinion, it would be terrific if there was an offline option to just play with 1 player character and no AI (and therefore scale the difficulty, for example perhaps giving the player more health to counter-balance not having any team mates). For me I either want to play this game in online co-op or offline with only 1 character to control. I am not knocking it but having to control 4 characters simultaneously is just not my cup of tea. In this way it wouldn't be altering the game in anyway but just providing more options to appeal to a broader range of customers.
^ Well, I'd argue that GR traditionally has given Quick Mission/Action modes for players wanting the challenge of going solo like the Firefight/Elimination game mode. In fact that was always a favored side mode of mine from the GR2-GRAW2 years. Might not make sense from a narration standpoint but for like stand-alone game modes that would be a very welcome addition.
