Uh oh. We seems to be moderator free at the moment. When the cat's away, the mice will play...

<dusts off the old thread>
Hello everyone!
I've been looking over the new site, reading some old private messages that I thought were long lost, and wondering how my friends are getting along these days. I've read that some have married, changed jobs, changed locations and so much more. I pray that wherever you have landed, you are still on your feet and doing well. When you get a moment, please drop a line here and catch us up on what's happening in your life.
As for me and Grizz, we will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day. So hard to believe - time indeed does go by so fast. The kids are busy with their lives - school - work - friends, but they do drop in quite regularly for meals and clean laundry. >< We like to spend our time taking road trips (when we're not playing mom and pop's taxi service) and Grizz has been honing his bone-carving skills. He has made some beautiful and unique pieces. I still have many years left in the slave pit before I can retire, but in the meantime I enjoy being with my family as much as I can.
So - what's new with you?

Not a lot happening with me, apart from being very busy with work and wishing I had more time to contribute to the forum. I'd just like to take this opportunity to say many congratulations to Jade and Grizz on their forthcoming Anniversary! Can we see one of Grizz's pieces?

Since Thietris was interested enough to ask, here are some shots of some of my bone pieces. They are all app. one and one half inches in the longest dimension. The middle two are both side of the same piece, a sort of wild-eyed experiment. And, yes, the tiny ball in the cage is free to move about. Making that happen was loads of fun. lol

They're lovely, Grizz! Thanks for letting us see them. Carving that ball so that it separated from the rest of the bone without falling out must have been tricky. I think my favourite piece is the cross.

Lovely pieces, Grizz! And congratz on the coming anniversary
After losing my job last year, I managed to get a new job this januari. But sadly it did not last the contract. Was dismissed at teh end of the trial period because the distance between workplace and my homeadres was to long. The idea was that I would do client visits and then write reports from home, but that meant we had almost no contact except by phone and mail. So my bosses felt not enough control over what I was doing. Letting me come to their place for officework would cost them to much. The work was nice, just what I liked to do, though it gave me a lot of stress because I couldn't seem to finish any report without umpty mistakes. (mostly spelling and grammar that word cannot help with) but I felt I was improving rapidly. Alas my bosses didn't allow me more time.
So now I'm looking around again. Anyone know of a nice cozy job looking for a worker?

Hi HannaGertie!
I'm sorry to hear about your job - sadly it's a story I hear more and more. I pray you will find something soon!
I haven't heard about a new museum in Kentucky. Anything special about it you'd like to share, Toztabud?
