    Well said, Jahura.

Tora, you really should see the movie, even if it's not something you're particularly interested in. It's a classic (I'm not a war movie buff either, but I enjoyed it).

    Great find Tora!

Thanks Jahura, yes, I've seen those people listed. I've read the page(s) at Wikipedia many times about bipolar, depression etc. etc. What I meant when I said "more" people, was the ones that have done unexplained things, such as stealing etc., and then never 'came out'. Like for instance a name of a person springs to mind (I'll not say it) but a famous actor who's been in and out of jail so many times it ain't funny. And John Belushi. I mean it's a fact he committed suicide right? Or was killed. Well, why didn't his family use the opportunity to speak out WHY it happened? The Split Enz guy from Melbourne, Paul Hester, who killed himself. If he had bipolar, wouldn't it be doing all of us a service to say "seek help?" in a message from his family? Or Janis Joplin, for instance.

From Wikipedia article: <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">This is a list of people accompanied by verifiable source citations associating them with bipolar disorder. This list includes only a) deceased persons and b) living persons who have been frank about their condition. It does not include speculation about status of living people who have not publicly stated themselves to have bipolar disorder. In addition to the criteria above, please only list people here if they also meet the Wikipedia notability criteria for biographical articles.

Many of the older cases are speculations based on their biographies rather than an actual medical diagnosis, and in many cases are not widely accepted by historians, biographers or physicians. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

    Touched by Bipolar

Talk page on that, with Unsourced people is 10 times as long Talk page

In ending, I'm just saying the more, the better, who talk about it. Bravo to those who have.

Hey everyone. It seems like a long time since I've talked with any of you. I just returned last night from a missions trip to El Salvador. What an awesome trip. It was hard for me and my students to leave. We just fell in love with the people and the children.

Here's a pic of me with some of the kids.

Okay. Just wanted to tell you that I'm alive and I will post more later.

Ahh... so THAT'S where you've been! It's great to see you again, Loridion.
Feel free to post some of the pictures in here as well as in the new pictures thread. We kinda need some pictures in there.

We had that the other day... not 36 degrees C, but maybe closer to 34 or so. And what made it horrible was the humidity! Not fun doing manual labor under those kinds of conditions. Luckily, a cool front came though last night (thunderstorms, cool!) and now it's cooler today. Now it's in the 70s (F) for us.

Yes, my trip was very worthwhile. Our team did ministry in schools and on the street. Many of the children we met on the street lived there. They had been abandonned by their parents and told us through tears that they felt as if no one loved them. It was heartwrenching.

I must say that it was very hard to leave. I have never been so impacted by a missions trip. Even now, when people ask me, "are you glad to be home?" I have to pause and think about it. Yes I'm glad to be home with my family, but I miss the people and children of El Salvador. That seems to be the feeling among most of my teens as well.
