    Saving the game mid-Mission?

Three times now I have made it to the rooftop shoot-out and final leg of the Madison Field Medical mission. All three times I have had to log out of the game and shut down the PS4 (work the next day, sigh) without having successfully completed that final gunfight.

Problem is, when I fire up the game the next day and resume my game ... I'm back at street level, at the START of the mission ... despite the fact that when playing previously I had reached checkpoints and was having no problem re-spawning at various stages in the mission!!!

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting somewhere that I need to adjust? I have not seen any sort of regular SAVE GAME function and would assume that an Auto-Save would measure progress more acutely than the broad notion of did/did-not complete mission. Having to go through all those levels again on a big mission like that is a REAL pain in the ***!

    Please advise. Thanks!

There is no save mission option. Sorry. I can only suggest to only run missions when you have time to dedicate to the whole thing.

    No, there is no saving.

The only way is to finish the mission.

Think of it like an instance in an MMO. Leave before it's done and you will have to restart it.
