Did you attempt a process of elimination?
Reinstall key components like visual C++, dotnet, complete cleanup of drivers?
(thorough clean install of video card software through safe mode for a complete cleanup) reboot to normal os then reinstall.
Did you debug using eventviewer, check for errors occurring etc?
Did you see the last resort option before?
Backup files to keep, game data etc. Startup windows setup, remove c:/ partition, repartition, format, install clean windows.
Refreshing the OS that way is usually a winner and can keep these annoyances away for some time if done on regular basis. I do it... Once or twice a year... And I'm running on some old hardware to boot. R280, older model Proc, 2600k. 8GB of ram... Running as smooth as a baby's buttocks.
How are there massive issues when most people play the game just fine? They do give a F, but it takes time to figure these things out, especially since most people don't know **** about computers, so asking someone to explain what kind of hardware and what they've tried is like asking a Greek to speak Farsi.Originally Posted by CG_Beatels Go to original post
My tip: Tweak your OC on both cpu and gpu. Dont know what i just said? Then it's no concern for you.
At the tech support / pc theres a crash topic with a bunch of fixes people should tryOriginally Posted by CG_Beatels Go to original post
For me removing all the visual ++ redistributables and then reinstalling the ones they advised fixed my issue.
However atm still crashing every 1-2 hours so not completely fixed.
You dont have many friends do you?Originally Posted by Siliconhobbit Go to original post
And as for the OP, I highly doubt its an issue on his end as countless people have posted in other threads that the game stutters and skips around, including myself. The game ran perfectly smooth for the first couple days, but after the update that took place March 10th, everything went bad and I started having these issues
The frustration is more over the issue not being given recognition as it should be and the OP has all right to feel this way.
Check the main thread http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...lection-topic)
I have GTX 980 SLI , I7 4930 OC to 4.0 GHZ and 16 gig ram and i cant play the game. The stuttering and sudden fps drops makes it unplayable. And i have reinstalled every possible software on my pc , my CPU and GPU load is only 40 % , my hardware temperatures are normal , every other game on my HDD runs flawlessly on max settings ( over 20 games ). SO , nope , the problem is not in my pc. This game optimization is a joke.
If you have 20 games installed then I doubt you clean installed windows or wiped and re partitioned your drive. If you have a separate hdd for the OS, then you may have clean installed windows, but then none of your 20 games would work properly without reinstalling all of them as well. If you did do that, which I'm sure you did not for a trouble shoot of one game, then you didnt troubleshoot properly. Lowest common denominator, install only whats needed to weed out potential issues. That means. OS, Drivers, game and redistributables (I.E. Direct X, V++, etc. Nothing else, not game 2, not flash player, not chrome, not java, not anything else. Then work backward from there. Bios Firmware, previous v card driver iterations, motherboard driver updates, chipset updates. memory tests, etc etc.Originally Posted by AzgaloR77 Go to original post
Of course i have 2 separate HDD , both are Samsung EVO . This is a gaming pc , you think i would go with one HDD if i spend so much money on hardware ? Come better prepared next time. And i dont need some fan boy here to tell me how to maintain my computer , i am pretty sure i can do that without you , been doing it for the last 20 + years. I run registry cleaners , i clear my cache , flush my dns , clear cookies , temporary internet files, delete last downloaded files, update my drivers and everything else you can think of on a weekly basis.
And you need to work on your reading skills. As I said , ALL of my 20 + games work FLAWLESSLY - - Witcher 3 , Black Desert Online , GW2 and so on. I have tried installing The Division on both HDD , different folders , different in game settings , SLI on or off , everything that everyone on those forums has suggested , nothing works , and this is the only game that randomly stutters or just drops the FPS from 60 to 10- 20 and goes back to 60 for no obvious reason.
The fact that there are THOUSANDS of people with similar problems makes it quite obvious there is a problem with the game , not with people computers .
And when you see someone suggesting that you should reinstall your OS and all your hardware drivers , including motherboard and chipset ( what a joke lol ) because there is one game that isn't working properly for THOUSANDS of people , that just shows how clueless and full of **** he is .
A tons of AAA games works perfectly without installing them, learn to use a PC plz, you should not talk when you dont know. And if you think that reinstalling your OS for just one game not working, is a poor way of thinking.Originally Posted by mALicious.VaX Go to original post
Do you have a normal HDD not a SSD, try to install the game on it. I say that because once i had a bad SSD and GTA was stuttering all the time, i switched it on a normal HDD and bam, playable, with a 980Ti, 24Go RAM, I5 3570k@4.2, and everything watercooled.Originally Posted by AzgaloR77 Go to original post
