If you can get hold of a copy of Partition Magic and merge those partitions back into one drive, then do what I suggested in my previous post - then that _should_ fix things.

P.S. Partition Magic WILL NOT destroy your data unlike Fdisk or Format.

If you do this bare in mind that any programs you have installed on your D: and E: drive will no longer work and will need reinstalling unless they have no links in the registry i.e. if they didnt have an installer originally.

Im assuming that as you only have a 5GB C: drive that you use this mainly as a system drive and install your games elsewhere. If this is the case then it will be a lot of work getting everything working again if you merge the drives into one.

Sorry bitebug, no offence intended here and i didnt mean to trash your comments but i dont want the guy screwing up his installations

    none taken

its 5:14 am lol - I am allowed to goof

But your right - however Partition Magic comes with a drive mapper which would automatically rectify broken 'Shortcuts'
    for example:
if he had Prince of Persia on
    D:\Ubi Soft\Prince of Persia
and the Desktop icon is pointing to that target,
with Drivemapper it can actually change the target location of the shortcut to reflect the new location of \Ubi Soft\Prince Of Persia.

I don't know if it changes the locations in the registry - that's why you're right.

And it would be unwise to make changes to his Setup.

I would seriously recommend buying some extra memory. Another 256 wont cost much, will improve your overall Windows XP performance and could help you play POP.

You will probably find that your processor wont be able to handle too many more new releases aswell. Nothing to worry about if youre not bothered about the new big games that are coming out though. Just thought id give you a heads up
