I bought siege off a friend for 25$ CAD (really feel sorry for people who spend 60 euros) and I cannot believe how much Team killing there is. 4/5 matches has intentional TK. The worst part is: the devs aren't doing anything about it.
Yes hacking on PC is a problem ,but its difficult to prevent without client side anti cheat
Yes the netcode could be improved, but I can't imagine it is an easy task.
But team killing can be solved by just enabling ricochet for casual. It's that easy. The fact that a TK before the action phase and 10 seconds into the action phase go unpunished is surreal. Why can you even deal damage in pre action? I cannot phantom how incompetent the devs must be to not apply this easy fix. Yes ricochet takes away from the game but seriously, 4/5 matches are ruined.
vote kicks don't prevent anything, its after the fact.
I have not personally bought a ubisoft game since Farcry 2 (yes 2) and I'm just remembering why.
Team killing is the only reason I despise this game. I don't understand how you can implement a penalty for ranked and just do nothing with casual. It is practically the same code that you implement elsewhere. It is lazy, sloppy, and honestly pretty sad.
Once again you empower the weak and make the people who truly want to love the game leave.
Mirror damage, which I assume you mean by using the word ricochet wrong, wouldnt make a difference. It would just ruin games where accidental tks happened. A tker who know mirror damage is a thing would just use C4. Same with the revenge vote. Wouldnt change anything, but make an accidental tk remove 2 people from the round instead of one. A tker would just line up a few people so he could shoot them all before being vote killed.
Let's get together and send a strongly worded letter to the creators of Call of Duty MW2, MW3, and Ghosts. Those idiots implemented a mode called Hardcore Ricochet, where damage was reflected to the shooter. They're obviously really stupid for calling it that.
Most normal people call it ricochet or reflect damage.
And how would a team killer get around "mirror damage" by using c4? Seems to me, the person throwing the c4 would kill only themselves.
