"ton of things that have been fixed and the netcode is a lot better." so those people quit because this game is too good ? check your brain dude, you are the one that lost sight of reality.Originally Posted by JojoTheSlayer Go to original post
If people left because of netcode. They ether dont know what they are talking about, or they want a 50 ping only type game.Originally Posted by boneknock Go to original post
Why? Because what some people are complaining about today is related to lag compensation and ping alone. Yet they act and talk like its tick rate or other. They wont remove lag compensation from the game because while it would "fix" issues for 50 pingers and making them very hard to kill. It would make the game **** for everyone else. Its a lesser evil thing.
Could they remove lag compensation for local private games or have it as an option, sure.
Could they improve the turning of the character models between clients, sure.
(When you see a person looking left, he might actually be looking at you)
But in context to your insult. Its actually people who have left the game because of "bad netcode" that should check themselves in regards to REALITY. The reality is the netcode is pretty good now, but with intended compromises in regards to a world wide player base.
A video, while critical of lag compensation in general, explains it very well.
(Not sure if the IP reveal and character orientation is still an issue compared to what is seen in the video since its one or two patches behind.)

Enjoyed watching this, thanks.Originally Posted by JojoTheSlayer Go to original post
Too bad a player with over 300 ping has a 1 second delay, that's a lot, good thing they're kicked though![]()
It's a sinking ship and it could have been avoided since the release. Even though the Netcode might be better it wasn't so day of release and then it took 3 patches to get it decent and then 1 to make it crap again. Then you take in the cheaters also played a part in making the ship sink. There will always be cheaters no matter what game it is. The frequency of it in R6S is unacceptable and that contributed to people not wanting to play. You had two major issue with the game which prevented people telling their buddies to go and pick up the game. The nail in the coffin is of course The Division.
This game would be thriving if it had a server browser instead of the dumb matchmaking crap...
I stopped playing because noone is playing terrorist hunt anymore and they lowered the points rewarded for it. I have no ambition to go play it again and went back to BF4...
At least in BF4 I wont have to sit in a lobby for an hour waiting...

I primarily purchased the game for the co-op. My friends and i went back to more competent titles like Mass Effect 3. Yep, even a glorified horde mode like Mass Effect 3's co-op mode has better and more reliable online functionality than this 2016 title does.
It's ****ing embarrassing the state this game is in. Not that Ubisoft gives a ****.
Its not as relevant in R6 Siege, but in other games that have lag compensation and are client side based etc. Its important to learn "Lag compensation tactics". Yes, there are things one can learn to improve the odds fighting in an online environment. Here is a video you might enjoy that explains it for a VERY lag compensation tactical game (PlanetSide 2).Originally Posted by Infarlock Go to original post
