    Please Stop.

The bigger issue here isn't that the maintenance occurs during Oceanic peak-times.
It's that they've implemented systems that require all servers to become unavailable at the same time; instead of staggered patch deployment like a plethora of other online-only games have over the past decade.
I get that you guys are upset, but this thread is specifically for Server Maintenance Updates. Could you guys please, PLEASE stop posting unrelated stuff here? So those of us actually interested in Server Maintenance Updates don't have to sift through 95 comments and counting, just to find it's more arguing?

    Australia Server Times

Love how people are missing the point with Australia servers, or any localised server for that matter.

I get it that global server restarts are beneficial to game stability, balance, updates, and overall...longevity. The fact is that despite having specific servers for certain countries/ time zones/ parts of the world...they are all (at this moment in time) remotely managed from one primary location. Update one server and roll it out globally. Cost efficient and requires minimal staff.

If this is the way it has to be done, I'd propose an equal balance of server maintenance that gives each time zone at least some playing time each night/ day.

Example: 7:30pm in Sydney is 04:30am in NY, 01:30am in LA, and 08:30am in London. If you shift the maintenance to start 2 hours earlier then majority of players in the EU and USA will be asleep, and Australia would get at least a couple of hours in with servers going back online at 8pm. Before people start commenting about the rest of the world, this would equate to early morning/ early afternoon restart times with minimal downtime during peak hours.

It seems the servers are being updated first thing when people get to work at 9am in the EU.

I also get that some people work late/ early shifts and plan on playing early AM hours. Never gonna please everyone I suppose, but I'm also used to Blizzard localizing their server updates based on region and individual server locales to keep the masses happy and on a consistent schedule.

Do we not have servers for Australia? I was searching for this information and found a twitter post from Ubisoft confirming OZ servers for launch. So is that only for launch day?

Hi, please add a quit game button on the server waiting screen.

The servers will shut down for a scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, March 15 at 09:00 AM CET, 04:00 AM EDT, 1:00 AM PDT.
Estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours. Please follow this thread for any updates as the maintenance progresses.

Thanks for your patience during this downtime,

    The Division Team

When the server is down, on the waiting screen, it only has one start game button, ESC won't work, space key and left mouse click will trigger the start game button, stupid design, just put a quit game button there.

Yes, there's more people there, but are there more Division players? EU and US are the large markets, and right now the americans should be sleeping and the europeans are at work.
And how many decades ago was that?

The GDP of the countries in the most affected times zones is more than twice that of North America.
Again by your logic it should be done in the timezones with the least potential players/biggest pool of money.

Do you know how many Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Russians play online games now?
Clearly your education system isn't doing it's job, so here, let me school you a bit.
