Did you also delete your profile and re-download it? They also had me clear my cache.
Oh, and the sad part about my conversation with the ubisoft tech was that he hadn't heard of any complaints on the forum regarding not being able to launch the game. I asked him if he was kidding as I had been posting about it for 2 days straight, my own posts and my comments in others. I told him its not fair that there are all these posts about launching a game post patch to just ignore all of them. As of last night they had no solution or work around other than what they had me do:
1. Clear cache
2. Delete profile and download again
3. Delete game and all add-ons and download again. Note that a new download will include the patch. I believe my problem was initially just downloading the patch and somehow it didn't install correctly to my base game. If this happens with every patch people will say **** it and jump ship to some other game.
