What level did you hit, cause I dont see many rogues at 30.

Our group has gone rogue several times. Sometmes by accident, sometimes on purpose. We managed to survive every time. And there are allways some other groups going rogue at extraction points. We had some intense fights with different groups of rogues in the DZ, who came back and attacked again.
So, I don't see much need to change the Dark Zone. It's a PVE Zone, allways was! Going rogue HAS to be a great risk. Ok, I agree, the penalties could be lowered a bit, but not too much. Murdering other agents and stealing their loot, should not be rewarding. Except for the gear you might be able to extract.
But overall, we really enjoy going in the DZ. Get out some loot, fight A.I enemies and attack other players. I must admit, I almost feal bad, killing some poor guys when they try to extract, but it's too much fun. I'm not afraid of losing XP and credits, because I can allways get them back. But as I sad, if you know the map, you can escape quite easily.
Everyone who want the penalties for dying as rogue lowered, did not get the idea behind the game. The DZ should not end up as a PVP zone and everyone goes rogue at the extraction point. You would no be able to extract you gear, because you will get shot anyways! That's why going rogue MUST be such a risk.

once you kill someone as a rogue that person is forever able to attack you without themselves going rogue...

You shouldn't be able to just casually walk up to someone , put a 12g to their head, take their **** and wait whatever timer to count down and just be like what's up 5min later.

Want less penalties as a rogue? Flip the rogue switch and now engage in pvp. Prior to entering the the DZ. No more rogue icon unless you are in LOS and visual range of someone or u get scanned.

No being a coward and blasting someone as they extract or waiting for mobs to lower their HP...

Want to be rogue you have to stay rogue.

Yeah I fallen quite by killing once in a whie. BUt that will change soon dont worry. Nobody who has IQ above monkey level even if hes pvp god wont go rogue now. Loosing 5-7 levels and gaginign 10k exp is pathetic. They are all farming to rank 50 to get their gear and then rogues will start. Nobody will be able to reach max DZ zone because the death penalties are so high that when pvp players wake up all of you will start whinning about not being able to level up. I'm starting 2row Rank 48 :>

At least not from that perspective.

Going rogue should be tied to a severe risk thus making sure the DZ not a mindless slaughterhouse.

I'm kinda curious about where all these pvp kids are now. Quiet a few days before lauch I've seen hundreds of ppl insulting players who enjoy pve content by selfpromoting of how "manly" they are with going rogue 24:7 in DZ xD
I certainly don't see a lack of rogue agents. There's been plenty of PVP going on in the DZ; even more so tonight for some reason. I also don't think the penalties are too severe. I do feel that once there should be a way to "win" other than by avoiding those hunting you. In order to defend yourself, you have to keep killing, and if you keep killing, then you cannot lose "rogue" status.. seems there should be a way, albeit difficult, to be able to "win" as a rogue other than just avoidance.

From the other perspective, while I don't mind losing loot if you're a victim of a rogue agent, I don't think it's fair to lose rep. I've been as high as lvl 28, but dropped down to 26 due to deaths from other players. Some of that has been players running in front of me deliberately while I'm shooting at NPCs and then their group decimates me if it causes me to go rogue. It's a ridiculous amount of rep to lose inadvertantly.

Funny how the OP thinks the penalties are too severe for the murders but they're ok for the victims....

Guess people will complain about anything.

I for one am happy that there is more depth to this PvP zone. Hopefully they never change it, as its perfect the way it is. If I wanted PvP, i'd go play COD

Plus... I killed 4 rogues just after being in there for 30mins last night... so have no idea what you are talking about.

The other thing is that the gear people are picking up is so worthless that going rogue doesn't even make sense. I've only had 2 extractions in 30 hours of DZ play that I was somewhat nervous about because I had a couple high-end weapons. But, no one is going rogue anyway, so the anxiety was pointless.

Quite simply, anyone here saying the DZ is perfect the way it is are the same cowards who are rogue baiting other players.

The difference between you and me is:

You ARE afraid of player interaction in the DZ and potentially losing you're loot.

I WANT to feel like I can get into a gun battle with other players for my loot whenever I enter the DZ.

No way should I be able to inspect my contaminated gear mid extraction with other random players around me and feel safe about it!!!

Ironically the DZ right now is the safer area as you constantly have up to 23 other players clearing out NPC's as opposed to just the 4 of you on the outside.

The DZ is boring and the only reason to play it is to farm gear. There is hardly any PVP...nor is there any reason or incentive for it. It is also mostly deserted.

In fact most of the PVP is accidental when several players are fighting enemies and somebody gets in the cross fire or blast radius....and the consequences are ridiculous. With high-end blue prints being sold only at level 50.....I don't see why anybody would ever go rogue.

Which is why you see griefers running in front of fire or jumping on aoe. No one wants to intentionally go rogue while leveling DZ rank to 50. I'm currently DZ 47 and will avoid going rogue until I get to 50 and buy all the recipes.
