What The division needs, is a hardcore version of DZ.
I know a lot of people enjoy enjoy playing in the current DZ, enjoy the farming and don't like the PVP, I get that.

The hardcore dz could lose the whole rogue flag element. Lose gains AND losses from killing other players, except their loot of course. Make the mobs even harder than they are currently, with even better loot. Make Extraction Zones available anywhere, just needs to be outside and far enough from buildings.
Have a server stats board(in a safehouse or smthn) where you can see how many people other players on the server have killed, or have a number on the side of their names showing the amount of killing they've done, giving a whole "trust" element that still leaves you with the decision of fighting or trusting.

In my opinion, this would make the DZ more enjoyable, I'd always have to be aware and on the lookout.

I played the game, completed the story, collected all the intel, reached level 36dz rank, and almost have full high-end gear.. but the excitement isn't there and the cost for making things exciting is too high. So for now, my 60€+season pass investment is on the bench.
I am looking forward to the changes and I sure do have hope, the devs have done a "decent" job thus far(aside from screwing the dz).

please remove death penalties in the DZ, no one is going rouge and after you gear out there is no reason to pve and with the penalties in place you cant even pvp with other people who are knowingly and willingly wanting to pvp against you.

Also please put a indicator in game so you can tell the highest level item in a players DZ inventory.

Both of these changes will add excitement and breath life back into the DZ that was their in open beta.

I'm so tired of little kids, who kill people while extracting! I got my first purple drop yesterday (LVL 18) and started extraction... Some random guys walked up and got almost killed by the incoming A.I. I helped them and even revived one of their group.

As one of them tried to tie his loot to the rope, I thought they're cool and tried it as well... They killed me and extracted all my items immediately. That's ridiculous!! Why would a Division Helicopter extract stuff from rogues?? Such a lame way to harrass other players! THIS is what me and my friends turn off the game, not the rogue penalties, everyone is aware of and can decide to take the risk and go rogue.
But killing people while extracting and immediately extract yourself is a joke. No risk, high rewards!
To balance things out, the penalties should be decreased slightely, but rogues must call in their own extraction. This way, we would be able to get back our stuff!

And sorry for my bad english btw...
The purples have close to 0 value at lvl30, and since the cost is so great at higher ranks, the rogues are also non-existant.

LOL, so you want a death match zone for immature players, where no one would ever be able to extract??... Not gonna happen. You better wait for a new Division PVP mode or go play Call of Duty.

    @veri_veli

Might be true. But I'm taking it slowly with my friends. For my LVL 18 Agent, purples are the best gear I got.

I agree , the DZ feels way too safe. Nobody wants to go rogue unless they are an organized team or streamers under peer pressure. You can literally consder everyone as an ally that will help you pve. It should be a lot more stressful IMO.

Ubisoft got PvP just right, it's what I've always wanted to see in a game.
As a seasoned Rust player and many other survival games, the PvP in the
division feels just right. For the first time, PvP is not a shoot on sight clusterf*ck. It's not carebear
heaven either. For me and other players I know this keeps it tense, but fun.

There are many situations from which PvP arises. Be it defendiing against
incoming NPCs and accidentally clipping a friendly agent, or only four slots
on the chopper with more people needing to extract, as well as the occasional
pyschopath kiddie. But getting rezzed or supported by a some random agent feels
really good. You never know what's going to happen - far more entertaining and
immersive than shooting everyone on sight.

Of course this is just my opinion, but many players I've spoken to share it.
We haven't reached endgame yet, but expect things to change once we do.

A guy above mentioning that it will just be people running round killing each other, but thats the whole point and the fun! groups go rogue then every non rogue on the map (Usually outnumber the rogues) are supposed to band together and take down rogues this is the great community of the pvp in the division, why do people not get that and even mention CoD! damn some people are stupid! Anyway you points are good and the XP loss is just too high, we accidentally went rogue yesterday (a random player was with us fighting a boss and went down, we didnt revive him then went rogue...) and i lost 2 DZ levels, it then took me 1-2 hours to get that back grinding so was pointless, probably would have got 700 or so credits like wow...
A thought I had was why not make surviving a manhunt give a high-end public drop that way you have an incentive to try to do a manhunt and if you arent rogue to possibly then go rogue on the players that survive the manhunt, almost like a circle to try and claim a high-end...
Another one, who does not get the point behind the DZ... If don't like the way the DZ works, you should probably pick up a different game and don't try to turn this game into another simple shooter...

    @monokai

I definitely share your opinion and my whole PSN Division group does as well.

I read 3 pages into this thread and no one mentioned instead of lowering the risk why don't they just raise the reward?! If you have a whole server knowing your exact location with a huge timer, you should be rewarded much more than creds... It would give more incentive to kill a ton of people if you want to play like that and on the flip side of what it already is like, everyone running to that little red skull for the 2k xp.

Nothing needs to be nerfed but the reward should be increased for taking the risk.

Also why the hell does the extraction popup have to be in the middle of the screen?! It would be just fine on either side of the screen not that we are looking anyway with mobs all around us...

Ha, I accept everyones opinion. You can accept and love the Division or hate it. I have no problem, if you don't like it. But trying to turn the game into a mindless death match shooter is a whole different story.
I don't purchase Call of Duty and try to turn it into a tactic shooter.... So if you don't like a game, don't play it. Simple as that.

And I guess less than 1% of all Division players are active in this forum. So based on what I hear from my friends and other forums, everyone loves the game because of it's PVE coop character. But none of them will ever respond in this forum.

I saw to many games in the past, that where ruined by crybabies in forums like this...
