Compromise with the public about nerfing

Though I think nerfing should have been done they should increase the drop by 30 to 40 for HE gear and weapons. No way should you only be able to get one drop a day. Would really like a response from a creator of the game...

Nerfing droprates on rewards are risky.

A single drop a day means that unless drop rates are low people will play until they get the drop then stop because there's not much reason to play more.

And if drop rates are perceived to be too low then there'll be a drop off in players that way.

If the balance is off then they'll hit the wow situation where folks only ever logged on to do the dailies then logged right back off again. With following accusations of the game being dead or dying.

Issue is that people think a yellow is the best , cause it is yellow. Ubi are with the nerfs going down a dangerous path like Diablo did first. You farm and farm and say u get 1 or 2 high ends a day. The chance they are actually good is so ****ing low. I have played for 10h today doing DZ and such. Gotten 3 yellows. All were terrible. With this system it is more or less farm , farm and farm and you will eventually quit cause the chance of getting a yellow, and on top of that a yellow with a good roll is really low.

Look at diablo now ( like this was imo more pre nerf ) tons of drops so you have a higher chance of getting a good roll on an item , so you people complaining about high yellow drops, I have only 1 really good optimised item. My friend has farmed the **** out of this game, has full yellow but not 1 of them is a good roll. Either have low drops/good drops or high drops/low chance of good roll. If you have low drop rate and low chance of good roll. It is just a fail on every level.

Well that's not entirely true. Diablo is very bad game because the way the tried to solve this problem that you are talking about is through power creep. They just keep hurting new content with more hp and more damage. In response they release new items that enable said content to be beaten easily. The cycle starts again with a new content.

Now, in Diablo 3, they made item stat drop which is dependent on your character. The game will almost never drop an item that will be top end, this way you can always find an upgrade. They also make sure that the upgrades come often and are good enough for players to notice them.

The problem is, you can to constantly add new content because all the game make you do is get better items just to clear X content. Blizzard luckily had the support to keep doing that.

The other problem is eventually you reach that point where numbers are huge and a power creep occurs. Beginning end game is 100k dmg and late end game is 2 billion damage.
