Hi everyone, I have been looking through this forum since release, because I also am looking for a solution to stop the stuttering in this game. I have seen a lot of topics about this, but I have not seen any reply from Ubisoft concerning this problem.
Here I have a couple of topics about people having problems with the game stuttering either in PVE or PVP or both:
Huge consistent fps drops
Pretty big RAM memory leak? *PICS*
[PC] Massive Stuttering/FPS drops
Constant Stuttering in Dark Zone only
Massive FPS drop in darkzone/missions when fights are crowded
Sudden FPS drop
FPS drop
Also on Reddit and steam people posting topics about the same problems:
Division Massive Stuttering/FPS drops + 99% CPU Usage
Steam
Constant Stuttering?
Could we please get a official response from Ubisoft about this topic? And maybe sticky this topic post so we can gather all posts concerning this problem into one place?
Updates post with links to reddit and steam topics and some more forum topics all with stuttering problems.
I would love to see a response from Ubisoft, my game has be unplayable since launch.
I have an i7 4790k 4.0ghz processor, gtx 970 (not SLI), and 16gb of ram.
On ultra, standing still, I can maintain about 60-70fps but the when I start running around I get huge fps dips. Even on low settings, at 800x600 resolution I get FPS drops and stuttering when I move around.
Ive tried almost everything to try to resolve this with no luck so far
Overclocking my processor and GPU does nothing
Disabling page file does nothing
Changing affinity in task manager does nothing
Various tweaks on the Nivida control panel do nothing
Disabling uplay/steam overlay does nothing
Transfering my game from HDD -> SSD does nothing
Rolling back drivers (364.51 > 362.00 > 361.91) does nothing (all three)
Running the game in window vs full screen does nothing
Alt + tab does nothing
I'm pretty sure this has to be something on Ubisofts side at this point, I have no issues running other high end games (Hitman, Arma III, Kingdom come : Deliverance, The Culling, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, etc)
I'll also throw my hat in. I've made a thread a couple days ago:
Major <20 FPS Drops
Haven't gotten a response from a dev nor any member of the support team. At this point, I'm not even mad anymore. I just want some transparency and communication from the team along the lines of, "We are aware of the issue and are looking into it."
Things I've tried:
- Rolling back drivers
- Rolling forward drivers
- Underclocking GPU
- Overclocking GPU
- Setting custom fan speeds
- Disabling page filing
- Complete reinstall
- Windows 10 upgrade
- Verifying integrity through Steam
- Disabling Vsync
- All of the screen modes
- Changing resolution
- Disabling UPlay overlay
- Disabling Steam overlay
- Disk defrag
- Enabling compatibility mode
- Running the program as Admin
- Tweaking all of the graphics settings
- Checking my ethernet cable
- Changing PhysX device
- Reinstalling all of the Microsoft C++ Redistributable files
I am having same problem I get massive stutter, but mine only occurs in DZ, (edit) Until this morning I had it happen in a misson for the first time in over 50 hours of play time. Very disappointed with this issue and Ubisoft stance of just not addressing it. I believe they don't see it as an issue given that their isn't thousands of people reporting the issue, but I'm pretty certain that its going unreported by thousands of PC players. From what I have read and given that people are posting their PC builds, it doesn't matter what your running in your computer, the game still stutters. Leads to me believe it is a game performance defect and not a player rig specific defect. At release I ran the game fine, now it seems with every maintenance the game for me at least get a little worse. In my case the DZ is completely unplayable with the stutter, so I have done all their really is on the story map, so I just log on for dailies collect a few intel pieces then log out. A few hours later I log on try to see if I can run DZ, but I can't every time so the cycle repeats with out the dailies. It's getting really frustrating fast knowing their is much more content that I can't really experience. Also on a side not I have a 970 and I see that many people who are having stutters also have 970. Maybe NVIDIA deserve some blame as well.
Experiencing the exact same problem as you guys. Tried every known method posted within this forum and so far, nothing has worked.

Seriously Ubisoft, is this even being looked into? How much do we have to say before you guys finally acknowledge the issue?
