Why does no one have a mic?

Why is it that no one seems to have a mic? It's an online game. A big part of it is the community and yet for whatever reason no one seems to want to talk or communicate during missions. Forget the fact that it's just fun to talk to people. The strategy required for this game would be so much easier if teams could communicate. Everyone has a mic because your Xbox came with one, so start using it. That's just me. Let me know what everyone else thinks

I think some people can't hear mics for some reason it doesn't work to some it seems in game chat their mic blip would show up but you can't hear them.

I agree with you all the way. It's annoying.

They are in xbox chat groups mostly I think. The in game chat is sketchy most times.

In-game chat (like most games these days) sounds like garbage. The PSN or XLIVE chat performs much better.

    Have you tried getting friends?

I have friends they just aren't as higher of level yet. And I don't even see people trying to talk and I just can't hear them. Just nothing

I agree, it's annoying when random coop partners don't have them and gratifying when they do. I've been reasonably lucky and have had several great coop sessions with good, mic-ed up players, mainly from among my existing uPlay friends.

I have a mic in my Xbox controller, it's very convenient.
and I'll occasionally use it when prompted,
but I don't tend to chat endlessly because the mission at hand is usually pretty clear.

It's pretty much hit or miss with random groups. Half have mics and half don't. It doesn't bother me because I don't want to talk sometimes. Especially with random players. I like to let the game play talk for itself if we play good together then I snd friend request and go from there.
A few of my Psn friends we have never talked but we now how to play together so it works.

I will admit it's much more fun to play with a good group where all players have mics but don't limit ur fun to just those players. Give everyone a chance.

It's hit and miss. I can see the talking icon above their heads, but I can never hear them.
However, I'm party chat about 85% of the time, so that accounts for most of it.
Still, even running solo (and outside party chat), I've never heard another player.
