Hi!
I have about 40 hours of gameplay and am thoroughly enjying the game, but here is a short list of minor anoyances that it would be great if you could fix:
- Climbing is very "clunky". it would be nice if you could also climb up onto ledges if you were'nt positioned exactly in the right place (also some problems with being unable to climb when pets climb up before you)
- It's somethimes difficult to heal pets, the option sometimes only appears if I crouch or doesn't appear at all...
- It would be great to have a separate button to heal (feed) your pet. The number of times I have wanted to search a downed enemy only to feed my pet instead... (There' no way of separating pet heal from the other interactions in settings)
- The population cap is pointless. Sure, have a cap on the XP bonus, but why the actual population? Once that kicks in there's no more motivation at all to do any "save Wenja" missions...
- The "level cap" is also totally illogical. It's not as if your atributes (strenght, HP etc.) increase as you get more experienced. By the time it kicks in most players will only have very few skills left to learn, certainly nothing game-changing, so the cap only serves as an annoyance that forces people to spend time doing a few extra missions to get those plus skill points, something they might not fancy doing at that stage. Either do away with it or have it kick in much earlier to force players to develop a certain character build, but to have it kick in so very late is just pointless and very annoying.
And now for my major problem: I can run the game on ultra settings (ocasionally a few slowdowns when a lot is happening around me, but it runs 100% smooth on high). HOWEVER, my rig can't handle the map for some reason. When I open the map, the game freezes. I have to take graphics quality down to medium AND reduce my screen resolution a full notch to be able to run the game without it freezing every time I open the map. This is realyl annioying and a huge shame that I can't enjoy this berautiful game at higher setting because of this one issue. Would be great if you could fix this.
Other than this, it's a great game I'm sure I'll dust off now and then.
Thanks.
(Apologies if some or all of these issues have already been discussed and covered...)
****, I hoped that those missions willl dissapear after I reached 300 popcap. At least the world would feel a little emptier without them...Originally Posted by Babranyi Go to original post
Yes, that wouldn't be bad either, might be nice to have the option to do that too. I actually enjoyed doing this random stuff, saving and helping my "compadres"...Originally Posted by DerPreusse2010 Go to original post
I am pretty sure if you play on and accidentally kill a Wenja you lose one of your sacred band of 300 although you cannot save more than 300 as in that total never rises to 300 plus. I am assuming the cap number simulates a deemed ideal maximum tribe size before it becomes an environmental burden as I am positive someone mentioned that tribal statistic. Still even another stat showing true all Wenja numbers saved would be cool.
Interestingly I do not think you can lose members of the 300 due to not saving someone once past the 300 mark, you only lose from that total if you directly kill a Wenja possibly any Wenja in the game. This was certainly how it seemed to be working for me due to at least one noticed friendly fire incident with my spear. The problem with not using the miinimap and HUD tags in game is that friend foe recognition in the heat of an engagement can go a bit orribly wrong.
Think I was on bit of an unusual melee spear rampage when I mistook a Wenja out of the corner of my eye for an Udam and struck out just as I realised better. On that occasion the at times annoyingly rapid spawning made for an interesting battle rather than a general inconvenience. All three factions involved with at times some animals too all around a couple of rises that I ended up sort of circulatimng around at a rush due to the flow of battle and the lay ot the land. I think due to the way the enemy groups spawned in that area it resulted in a cyclic flow of reinforcements yet due to the break in line in sight I never once saw them just pop into existence which was very nice. They all sort of joined the battle from over or around the rises. When it works it works although if I had not eventually broken off from this engagement it felt as if I could have been in eternal conflict.
As for saving the captive Wenja while traveling around, what's the use? If there's 2 or more, Udam or, SWlkrs, one of them will kill the captive most of the time. Also, after you save one, the idiot hangs around and dies because, some frkn animal attacks and kills him. Would have been nice to have the same system set up in Primal as in FC4, where you can call on assistance from the Wenja warriors in the area.
