    No sound after intro

Seems like I've searched the entire google for a solution to this and failed...

After the intro to the game, my sound cuts out completely. I've had a look through my OS settings and I don't have any way to turn off Dolby, which is one of the main suggestions I have. I also don't have a way to set my headset to 2.1 audio.

I have made sure the game is patched to the latest version, I have verified the game files several times, and I have installed the latest version of DirectX. Nothing.

I am using Windows 10, if that makes a different.

also several if not all Video card driver do install HDMI audio devices

right click on your speaker icon and select play back devices and Disable the ones your not using

select the one you are using right click it select properties

    select advanced

set the default format to 16 bit 48000 Hz DVD quality

i use an old SB live card and set my speakers to 2.1 audio there too (5.1 also works fine goin thru my HDTV's sound system if i use the Nvidia HDMI audio and connect my tv via HDMI )

sound also works fine on both my laptop that has a sigmatel audio device with Dolby digital Plus installed

just had to get updated Windows 10 drivers from my laptop maker (lenovo)

if you have a realtek audio device .. good luck ! i disabled mine as it sounded horrible compared to an old SB live card

try to find updated drivers here realtek keeps updating them ... as they have had problems i guess with windows 10

I tried that... I have three sound devices. The inbuilt speakers, a HDMI sound system (Via the attached TV) and my headset. I disabled everything except the headset. I tried to find updated drivers for the headset. Frustratingly, nothing seems to fix it.

your head set supports 7.1 surround sound

    the game does not

FarCry 4 uses X audio 2 for audio you'll have to use your speakers and set sound to 2.1 stereo mode most likely unless you can set the sound options within the software from lenovo for your head set

did you install the latest driver for your headset located here

    https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103097

if it still does not work contact Ubi support or Lenovo Support

I've tried setting the internal speakers to the default sound device, and removing other sounds devices, including the headset... Still nothing.

I have updated the drivers for both the headset and the internal speakers to no success

Hey there, welcome to the forums but please try not to bump threads that are over 4 years old...

Can you please run through this guide? If the issue persists, please create a case and we will be happy to investigate further.
