Its been like this since closed beta.
You betrayed and went rogue which should be a punishment.

What people argue about in closed/open beta is the reward is not enough for surviving the rogue timer

Yeah the reward for surviving is what I'm trying to get to here.. I don't care for losing the 90k or the purples I don't even look at purples anymore, Its the 1500 gained from surviving a manhunt that was my issue.

and again this was a test.. I died on purpose to see the loss from a lvl 5 rogue at 30. I love this game and chasing down a rogue or going rogue myself it's all fun I just feel like this would make people less inclined to go rogue thus leaving out a great part of the game.

I know that many people will jump on this even though I will preface this with I think that the rogue penalty should be stiff, but not so high that it discourages everyone from going rogue. I enjoy the intensity of the game, and that is because of the rogues. IMHO either increase the rewards (not best opinion) or decrease the penalty. I also have no problem losing more than you gain, but 8-9x is a little high. He also states that he had 300k left which is about 25% loss as well.

Bottom line just want to see stiff penalties/rewards, but not so steep that it keeps everyone from going rogue.

I agree but want a balance that will still make the majority think twice about going rogue. I mostly agree rogue is an important element and both aspects are fun.

I think the penalties are fine, like he said he was rogue rank 5. People will abuse and grief to much otherwise, you could go rogue and just not hit that high a rogue lvl and be of alright, your penalty will be very low in that case, just don't go around shooting every one in the face.

I assume you had around almost 300k DZC?
Why do you need this much?
How much do the vendor items cost?

If they cost like 20k a piece, and you barely care about purples which is likely whats available on the regular basis - seriously why even care? Relatively speaking you've lost nothing. It's just a number.

When people bring this up, I always look for an analytical explanation, simply because this system is heavily tied into the whatever limited interplayer economy there is. And I don't see it. Just people quantifying a number with "too much" and "too little", without actually banging the numbers together.

Same with the "infinite" crafting materials "cheat". Too many people just take it on face value and don't actually understand what's going on...

I think that they should keep everything the way it is and just outright remove the credit and exp penalty.

Going rogue is something that should be allowed, but actively punished as you are choosing to do something at the detriment of others. As was mentioned before: you can kill others at will for whatever gear they might have. This is the reward that is granted for the risk of losing it all, as well as being marked for dead.

May the games be ever in your favor.

IF you remove credit and exp loss for dying as Rogue then dying will be trivial. Why bother staying alive? To keep the items you looted? The care cup would be empty. People will just repeatedly try and fail and rinse and repeat
