Without a full group at max level, you may not even be able to extract at the 1-14 area. Me and my friends have been trying to extract for over an hour now...
I really enjoyed the ramped up difficulty, me and one other guy I met extracted tons of stuff, level 10+11. I agree it will be tough solo, but isn't that the point of the dark zone? You clear the area, then you extract!

i can confirm, that its definitly no problem to extract alone but you should carefully choose the extraction spot. DZ is about smart gaming and trust.

    about level progession:
when you take a look at the map, you see that the lowest dark zone area is actually normal lv10-14 i think (of cause DZ lv 1-14 since you lv up there).
That means, reaching normal lv 10 would be perfect for enterning the lowest area and so on. All the infos you need are on the map.

you can of cause also enter it before if you want better equip earlier. most people will do that.

as many people in the forums allready found out - leveling normal and dz side by side is more comfortable.

I played both Betas, needless to say i loved them. This time around though I went into the DZ with 3 friends at a round lvl 6-7 and the difficulty was damn near impossible. Guess what though? We absolutely LOVED the challenge, It was the most fun we had in a while. We died in 1 shot from the mob.

It was fun because we worked as a team to get our self up, and even had some giggles when we ran back from the spawn point and picked up each other stuff by accident( or was it ;} ). Eventually we cleared the extraction zone and got out stuff which was higher level than us. The reward are that much more meaningful and well, rewarding even for crappy blues(relatively speaking to Rares). What ever happened to enjoying challenges? now days everyone wants easy stuff or everything handed to them.

I understand everyone has a different learning curve, though my buddy who didn't know jack about the game got the game just to play with us and he fell in love with it as soon as we stepped into the
DZ and started getting pressure. He compared it to the Vaniila WOW days excitement when everything was buggy hard as hell to find and do. When you had to work for your reward, but when that green dropped you felt like you found a diamond between a hot chick's Double D's.

Find some friends and push the hard content I promise you you'll learn to appriciate the game a-lot more as well the loot system. Key Word :Friends: or make friends ingame.

Overall exp 10/10 Good Job Ubi

I am level 8 my friend was level 12, we tag teamed all 2 EXTRACTION ZONES in the 1-14 DZ area easy. You dont need a full team at max level to extract, you just need 2 players who are within the level range (8-12 level is enough).
Yeah I was getting loot in the dark zone and 2 guys who at first said they were friendly killed me and took all of my blues and dark zone keys. I was by myself since my friend had went back to the base. If it's 1 on 2 sure you can't do that but you'd probably find better loot once you were 25-30 then entered the dark zone

The only down side I could see going in at max level is getting gear that you have no use for because you are at max level

incorrect. You go in at Max level pve, you're still going to get rekt and the loot you get is going to be better than the ones you got in PvE (not all but we're talking about loot drop chance of better items). Secondly, as you level in DZ, the loot will continue to get better as loot will have a gear rating. You're farming for the best gear rating for end game content. It's easier to get the end game gear in DZ than in PvE as the chance of drop is greatly increased in DZ because the chance of you losing it or trying to obtain it in DZ is greatly increased vs in PvE. Do some reading and research before you talk out of your ***.

    Don't Wait

Don't wait until you hit max level before venturing in the dark zone. Firstly in ten minutes in the dark zone I had extracted better gear than I had drop in 7 hours of PVE. Secondly the zones are sectioned off for levels so the first one is 1-14. I personally would wait until you are 10-11 and get some friends in yourteam and check it out. Way more fun than PvE.

Soloing the DZ is possible but it's a bit harder then the betas.

I went into the DZ at level 9(solo) and was able to extract 13 pieces of loot while dieing about 4 times. The key for me was staying far away from the NPCs. I'm assuming it will be easier when I am the same level as the NPCs
