    Was UBI greedy or unprepared?

Its common for server issues on day one... but is that acceptable in the age of preloads and online only gaming?
I paid over $100 for this game.

Where is the line? Was it crossed tonight during this subpar release?

Unprepared like woah, their entire network went down. That's pretty bad.

    Server timestamps

I just noticed the timestamps on the ubisoft forums are off by about 6 hours.

    Coincidence?

    All of the above.
I experienced all of this with R6S and told people here it would be the same thing all over again.
R6S STILL isn't fixed over 3 months in...this will be worse due to the sheer numbers playing it.

Ive had 0 server issues. And the reason its offset by 6 hours is teh forums are GMT (I think?)

I agree o paid over 100$ as well I'm not in yet due to being at work but I'd I can't get on when I'm of work I'm going to snap. They were completely unprepared yet 6.4 million people apparently played the beta that should of given you a hint. This is not right at all its unfair to everyone who bought the game I just hope they fix this quick. Not holding my breathe though

They were prepared they had server guys working over a 24 hour period to sort this out when it happened.

They knew it would happen but the cost to stop this from happening outweighs the benefits as you will not need that capacity at any other time during the games life cycle, so why waste the money when all that is lost is a few hours/days of peoples play time, most people will still play the game anyway and pay for more DLC.

Think of it from the companies point of view, I am not condoning this but I understand why it happens.

In the UK I had 2 problem-free hours before bed (12.01+)
and back on now with no issues.

Sorry to hear some folk have had problems, hope it's working now for everyone.

I'm not denying that they won't do anything just seems like a common practice amongst new games now. I'm not blaming them not to the extent that it sounds but when you buy something you want it right not half. When I bought my new car I expected to get out perfect not half way I know a 30k car is different from a100$ game just the point of buying something you expect it to work. I have not played it yet since release but as I said I hope it is fixed by the time I'm done work.
