🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

Just bought two copies of this game to play with my GF. She gets motion sick from certain games and now The Division is on that list!!

Please add an FOV slider or some way to tweak it like an .ini file. This is perhaps the biggest issue with the game.

FOV changes do not provide any advantage in gameplay other than the advantage to not puke while playing!

Exact same thing with me, trying to play with my gf but she feels sick about half an hour in... Please add support for a FOV slider.

The Far Cry studio seems to know what to do, they had the slider in their games ive bought. Rest of Ubisoft does not seem to take a hint.

I thought this was a silly request before, but after playing so much of this game I realize the 3rd person view doesn't really help much and I still feel very limited in my surroundings. It would at least be nice to be so close to the character that it doesn't obstruct the screen so much.

    So ubisoft?

So.. is ubisoft really just going to ignore this problem?

been waiting for about a month now, thought fov would come with the incursions update but nothing, and not even any announcement about this, can't play the game because my gf will feel sick after some time playing with this weird fov in the game, if you won't add a fov option at least let me have a refund because i won't be able to play the game.

This doesn't even seem to be on their radar Pin_Desu, then again they tend to look past a lot of things that get posted here despite their claims that they read everything.

I'm sure it would be called cheating anyway.you can't even have 25x10 in some games as it's considered a cheat.

How is changing the fov cheating (yeah, I have heard the whiners before, I know what they say)?
Its been a staple in games for years and years and years.
Noobs nowadays just want to sit with their controller 20 feet from their tv, and get on scoreboards.
Just because a console CANT do a higher fov, because its insides are 5 year old tech, shouldnt mean that PC gamers who sit 10 inches from their monitors shouldnt have a better fov to NOT make then sic.
As for Ubisoft, man, first Trackmania Turbo (I cant even play that for more than 5 minutes before getting very sic), and now The Division? I may not be purchasing any more Ubi games in the future.
And thats sad, because they are one of my favorite publishers (thier games always fit my play style).
But, I cant abide this trend in low fov.
    And, with blur.
Terrible to get sic from a video game, when it is something every developer can easily impliment.
