Day 1 micro transactions are a big X in my book. Instead of doing something that could say, I don't know, improve game play or bring something to the game that might be cool as an end game cosmetic boss drop. The developers thought I'd be fine for the specific division doing cosmetic items to take the last 2 or 3 weeks of development to attempt to get more money right off the bat. It's bad form really, something that developers have gotten away with for far too long.Originally Posted by shaw815 Go to original post

I just canceled my pre-order. I won't pay for cosmetic content in fully-paid game. Some people are fine with it- that is cool.
For me that is low. I already payed them for full game, all cosmetics (apart from Season Pass exclusives) should be auto add in game, all new ones also.
The only DLC I can pay for when I have already payed for full game are truly big good DLCs like Hearts of Stone for Witcher 3 or DLCs to Dark Souls, Borderlands 2 etc.
I disagree with such policy and that is my private rule.
It's kinda shows the lack of empathy towards the consumer though. I'd be fine with them releasing said "dlc" "micro transactions" whatever they want to call it, after the first major update but when push comes to shove that specific division took maybe 2 or 3 weeks to flesh out character models and cosmetics on something we have already paid for right off the bat.Originally Posted by shaw815 Go to original post
And forcing a paywall on said product is like paying them more for a product we should have already had access to with the initial $60 AAA title investment. Its double dipping prices.
I call bs no one cancels a pre order over something so trivial... pics or it didn't happen!

For you some things might be trival, for some are important. Learn to respect and expect other people different opinions, personal rules and principles.
Besides- proof? With all due respect- who are you to me so I need to prove you something? I said I cancel it. You beliving me or not is really last thing I would be concerned about.
Cheers.
