Glare and reflections are indeed distracting too much. Before WR the visibility was very good. Now not so much. All these weather effects are really cool and add a lot of immersion to the game, but a lot of effects are exaggerated, unnatural and therefore unrealistic. This affects all ways of playing the game, including cruising, casual play and racing.Originally Posted by Lunytrickz Go to original post
Some sunglasses/polarizing effect or blinds to increase visibility with low sun or wet road reflections would be a very nice option.
Better headlights with a larger range, better reflections on more objects and additional working lights on off road vehicles would be awesome.
Yes. In addition to that, some traffic is always painted matte and are driving in the race line or actively block. Traffic behavior is unrelated to visiblility, but in combination with the bad reflections it is really annoying and not immersive.Originally Posted by robertedell Go to original post
I hope ths gets picked up by the dev team. Some minor tweaks might do the trick already.
I'm all for realism, but the night in the Crew isn't realistic. In real life, you eyes compensate for the dark. So, after a while you see things better. Problem is that will not happen in the Crew, since you're looking at a light emmiting screen. The game cannot account for this, so it needs to compensate in a different way. The night now is too dark, it's unrealistic. Head lights yes, they need to be stronger.Originally Posted by Asamur Go to original post
The contrast needs work, so does the brighness, way to bright at dark, there's an oversaturation which washes out everything too much.
But....having said this, I don't think that the night itself may be the issues at all. Since the graphic overhaul the shadows are off. They're way too harsh, too dark. That may have it's bearings on the visibility at night as well. The Crew needs softer shadows, not these harsh ones it has now.

"Play the game and you will see everything you need!" That is how my answer to them would look like.
That is indeed one of the reactions that crossed my mind as well. But they obviously need more detailed feedback to pinpoint the visibility issues, as they do not want to ruin the overall game experience.
With full moon it is good enough in most places. Maybe clouds make the game too dark in general. There is a huge difference in light at daytime as well, that effect might be too strong. IRL your eyes adapt to the situation. Not like the tunnels though
And so are a lot of settings and parameters that interact with each other and are combined responsible for the bad vision in certain places.
So time to post videos of examples where you can barely see where to go.
The excessive darkness might also be caused by the weather effects making the game too dark.
A rain shower can turn the game in almost night.
That might be one of the issues that causes the ridiculous darkness that can occur in The Crew.
If the darkness of the weather is simply accumulated to the night dark you get your pitch black nights.
During full Moon nights it is good to drive in The Crew.
