So you can ride the brown bear, sabretooth, and bloodfang sabretooth.
Why cant you ride the cave bear or great scar bear? Both are larger than the brown bear, makes sense that they'd be able to support a rider just as well as it can.
Why are none of the wolves able to be ridden? Some sure look large enough for it, and if these are prehistoric dire wolves they should be able to.
On a side note, it always seems like there's one "best" animal to use most of the time, why didnt they make all 3 of the ultra rares (the snowblood wolf, bloodfang sabretooth, and great scar bear) have identical stats in order to promote some diversity based on which one you WANT to use, rather than just picking the one with the best stats?
I never understood why we cant ride the cave bear, its smaller than the mammoth so getting onto it isnt a problem. Also i often find the bears arnt as good at tanking damage as they were advertised, sabertooth all the way i'm afriad to say, its speed outstrips the bears so it can close in on enemies far faster, my bears just stand there taking spear damage without doing much damage and they don't take long to die.
Why cant we have our tamed animals around when we jump onto a mammoth ? and why cant we tame an eagle, Were supposed to be this beastmaster but get attacked by eagles and cant do much about it unless we get a lucky bow shot. also I hate it when the eagle comes in for its attack, if you don't time it right the animation kicks in and you cant stab it with your spear.
That's the thing I hate most about them too and it was the exact same case in Far Cry 4.Originally Posted by BongoBanzai Go to original post
In the latter game's case, I would pull out a shotgun as soon as I heard them scream and right before I could pull the trigger they would've already locked me into the animation where I take damage. It starts way too soon.
With Primal, it's the same thing. You can't reliably take them down from a medium distance but if you wait for the perfect up close moment then it's often already too late.
