Will release day be like GTA 5?

Basically what I'm trying to say is will the servers be overloaded with players and will we barely get to play online kinda like when GTA 5 came out and almost nobody could play?

I honestly think it will be worse, I can't think of any other game besides Gta V that was as teased as long as this one and with such an absurd amount of people playing the open beta, yea....it's going to get skittle messy.

Also this is ubisoft so I'm not sure where the problem will occur, but one will occur regardless. (From ac unity and its glitches, to R6 Siege and its pathetic MM and server side issues.)

Consider, there was likely more people playing the open beta that there will be on launch. The open beta was free, so anyone could play. The servers didn't seem to have much issues handling the volume/traffic. I played the beta alot that weekend, and didn't notice any server downtime.

On launch, where people had to shell out money for the game, and some who decided not to buy the game after playing the beta... it would probably be less strain on the servers compared the beta. I'm sure the BETA was also a network test, along with test of the mechanics and state of the game itself.

But look at what happened with GTA 5 though, players couldn't get online for 1 week

I think they will be fine, the kinda know it's going to be hammered, but at least it's rolling access over time.

I think the servers are going to be good, They didnt experience any problems with the servers crashing in the beta so thats a good sign considering the number of players that participated. I think I heard one of the devs say that their Swedish engineers figured a way to configure the servers in a way to cram a crap ton of people on them without stressing the servers all that much. Not to mention they are dedicated servers where most games run virtual.

Besides GTA servers are run differently than any other games server and is the reason they have so many problems with them

Free or not majority of gamers dont participate in betas. Some of that is because they dont know betas exist and some of it is because they dont like playing knowing their progression will be lost. So i wouldnt bet on open beta being more strain-full then release.

But i expect things to go semi smooth anyway. Atleast for me.
