So.....my Spyker has 4600 Top Speed....whatever that means. I lowered it a little bit, but it doesn't seem to have actually done anything 'cause for whatever reason it feels limited to about 155mph. I have a Circuit car that can do 180mph and that's about it. All I can work out is that if you don't have the right bonus on your parts, the performance of the car is garbage. It's almost better to stick with the bonusesless bronze parts. All the "bonuses" really do is mess up your performance.
The 0-60 time in game of a stock Pagani Hauyra is 10 seconds....The 0-60 of a level 40 bronze parts Hauyra is 10 seconds....umm...1. the real life car can do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. 2. the performance didn't change between the stock and performance vehicle, so what's the point of tuning? I know it's not a simulation. But....come on. 10 seconds for a hypercar 0-60? That's slower than a Golf.
yeah it sounds like a controller issue. Soemthing is not letting you get full motion of your throttle. In general, almost all of the cars in the game have the smae top speeds in the various specs when maxed out. A maxed out 1299 car should hit (without nitrous) about 230mph in performance and about 250mph in circuit. The point of tuning is how fast they get to taht speed, how well they hold it through turns and hills, handling, braking, and other aspects.
Then why have different cars at all? It is particularly frustrating to have a car like the Koennig which has a top speed of 273mph full stock but give it a lvl 40 performance kit and it drops to 210mph. Surely something is wrong there, especially when my 1299 Focus does 249mph?Originally Posted by Trueflights_ Go to original post
Basically it is to keep balance in the game. Things like the Koenigsegg are very rare (though there are a couple in game). While in performance spec you lose top speed on it, you also gain in acceleration, handling (which that car seriously needed) and braking).Originally Posted by SwcLesley Go to original post
It is silly that they tried to keep the cars balanced when maxed out, but it makes the game it bit more competitive as people can still drive whatever car they like and in the end they are all very similar. They still have differences in acceleration, cornering, weight (is a very noticeable one), and other areas.
Also stacking multiples of the same type of parts on a car does have a diminishing return type of thing going on. The game stats will show and increase, but after you get 4 or so of the same part on a car, they don't seem to do anything. (ex. if you put 4 +top speed parts on a car, a 5th one might still show you a +20 or so speed bonus, but in game you will not notice any higher of a top speed). Not sure why it is like that, but it does happen. You can experiment with parts and see for yourself. Basically the numbers that it shows you for the stats really don't mean anything in this game.
