If you've seen the image below already, then this likely isn't new information to you. But I was having a discussion with someone on N4G about the amount of content that will be featured in PvE. He was trying to say that the missions in the beta were the actual story missions. But the image below confirms those were in fact simply Wing Main Missions. Specific to only the wing you are trying to upgrade. If you look under Missions, next to Medical Wing Mission, it clearly shows the same icon that we saw on the map for the first mission in the beta. The second mission from the open beta was a Tech Wing Mission. We have not played a story mission yet. So if you were under the impression that the missions in the beta were main story missions, you are incorrect sirs and ladies. The image also confirms multiple Encounter types and side missions. So you'll not only have Main Story Missions, and Side Missions to the Main Story Missions, you'll also have Wing specific Side Missions to go along with Wing Main Missions. So missions on top of missions on top of missions on top of missions. Plus wing specific encounters, and where it just says Encounter, I would assume those are just random encounters that aren't wing specific that likely would only provide you with overall XP, versus XP and wing specific resources.
It's been rumored that there are likely 15 to 18 Main Story Missions. This hasn't been confirmed yet, but even if that's true, the missions are likely lengthier than what we played in the betas and alpha. This also means that my prediction of at least 10 wing missions per wing is likely correct. So we're looking at 45 to 48 missions, with side missions on top of that. And to me, that's plenty of content for just the PvE side of things.

EDIT:
Year One content has been revealed. You can find out all of the information here:

I've been telling people to be patient and not judge the game by its beta. There's so much more in store for everyone than even what I've shared here. There will be plenty of PvE content, and even more to come after launch.Originally Posted by SgtDmX Go to original post
If people are still concerned about the amount of content for this game, just wait until launch, check out some Twitch streams, listen to reviews.
I've been saying the same thing.
I knew there had to be more to this game as soon as I saw the '-Threat' stat on suppressors. Why bother adding a threat system and give players the possibility to play as a pure healer or tank, if there was nothing more to it than shoot, and whoever has more damage wins?
There's alot of evidence that points towards alot of PvE-potential, and there's the added excitement that comes with DZ. I think this will be an epic game.
I found it kind of hilarious that people were quick to rush overall to a final verdict based on two betas - and all I could do is shake my head at that, because they were only betas, which aren't necessarily a reflection generally speaking of a game's final look (In this case though, given the development of this game I think that the game was mostly done). Add in the fact that they withheld a lot of the dynamic elements from the beta, choosing to tease players with just a tad bit of stuff, the game will be vastly different than what we've seen twice already. I think in the beta we saw only 2 of the factions - Rioters and Cleaners, here and there - but we weren't going to be shown everything the game had to offer in terms of enemy types, ect ... the beta did what it was meant to do - test things out for bugs and catch as many as they can, and on another level tease the players enough that they will hopefully want to pre order the game. And yet you can go on youtube and people are already "reviewing" the game based on something that's a shell of what the whole game will have in it and such. On one hand I see where they are coming from, yet as a whole I don't b/c we weren't really given the full set of keys to the car; we were able to be shown some things but not the things that are going to make this game stand out. We even know the DZ is going to be different than what we saw in the beta, so yes we're in for quite the treat when we get to play this game in a few short days.
And to add here is the latest on content
