Just Dance 2016 freezing continues on Wii U

I'm seriously upset and frustrated with Just Dance 2016, because I really love this game, but it is driving me insane already!

I don't know if it's happening on other consoles, but I've seen that it happens a lot on the Wii U and I'm among the people who are being seriously affected by these constant crashes and freezes from the game. The Wii U is a powerful console and it's embarrassing that there's a game that makes it crash like an old NES. It even makes this annoying and loud 'BEEEEEEEP' sound the NES made when it crashed and Just Dance is the only game the freezes my Wii U like that.

I have been struggling with this issue for months now, and I am already tired of it and I need support from you Ubisoft because you are doing a terrible job at maintaining this game that I love, but right now I'm not having a pleasant time with it.

I noticed that the freezing began when I paused a song and choose retry or exit, it could be either on Dance Party or World Video Challenge mode. Later on, maybe 2 or 3 more songs the game would crash at the coach selection screen or in the middle of a song! There were times in which I played a lot of songs and on the 10th song for example the game would crash.

That was one nasty experience, but there is more, hang in there!...

There were also times in which the Wii U wouldn't pick up internet when I started playing, loading only the songs from the disc. Fine! ...Once the Wii U picked up internet and just dance unlimited loads normally and I play JDU songs. At the end of the song, the game would unlock an avatar that I already had andas I continue playing more songs, the game would unlock avatars from the song that I danced before and not the actual.

There was a point in which the freezing was so bad, that I couldn't even pass the welcome screen. Each time I booted the game it would crash at the welcome screen. I had to remove my save file from my system! do you understand how hard was to do this? I lost all of my local progress, my high scores, my avatars...it was so hard to do this and start the game from scratch, but that stopped the freezing for a while.

Maybe 1 week after removing my data from my Wii U I noticed that I was having problem buffering any video. My autodances took ages to fully load, just dance TV, community remixes videos. When my game was brand new I didn't have to wait that long to watch a video and my internet was much slower then.
That also affected the World Video Challenge mode. If I challenge someone with a video, I'd have to try many times before I could retrieve the data from them and challenge them with the video on.

Now today, my Wii U didn't pick up internet. Fine, I played one song from the disc and restarted my router and the game. Now everything loads including JDU. I played a JDU song (that I already played) and much to my surprise, I unlock the song's avatar again, in fact my avatar counter was restarted, how does that happen Ubisoft?!?!?
Then, I switch to the WVC mode. I challenge a friend that has a video, I did this song at least 3 times, I chose retry after that song was completed (at the score screen). For no reason the game freezes at the coach selection screen of another song.
I restart the Wii U again, and challenge a friend but this time on a song from JDU. I do the same and chose retry at least 3 times, but only after the song was completed and when I finally beat him, the Wii U crashes at the score screen. I restart again and it happened again after completing a song in WVC mode (at the score screen). I can play on-disc songs and JDU songs with no problems on Dance Party mode, but now I am unable to enjoy WVC anymore because it will freeze each time I end a song. Now I'm debating myselft whether if I should delete my save file again or not.

Please Ubisoft, release patch for the Wii U. Having these kinds of bugs are unacceptable these days.

    SAME TROUBLE---Just Dance 2016 Wii U won't work....

I am not much of a forum poster...so I hope this works as a reply to this previous forum posting as I have intended it to.

I am also furious with Just Dance 2016 for Wii U. NONE of the Unlimited songs have been working for me for over a month and it has been super annoying since I paid for a whole year's subscription. I've been sucking up and dealing with it by trying to get 5 stars on all the JD '16 songs in the mean time....but still irritated that NONE of the unlimited songs will make it all the way through when I play them.

I have taken a break for the past two weeks due to work load...but decided to play again tonight (figuring I'd still not be able to play unlimited songs) and now I can't even get past the JD home screen!!!!

I want this fixed so badly!!! I REALLY don't want to lose all my progress...and I REALLY REALLY don't want to be paying for a year's subscription to something that I CAN'T ACCESS.

This needs to be addressed ASAP. Why is there SUCH a problem with the Wii U...my friend has this game for Xbox Kinect and everything works PERFECTLY.

I don't even have the game downloaded on my Wii U, I have it on disc and NOTHING is working now!! HELP or give me my money back!!!

    Frustrated,
    Katie

Will anyone from the support team care about this issue, which is a serious one? why am I being ignored? I'm not even asking for a favor!

    Freezing

I have a similar frequent freezing issue with Just Dance 2015 for Wii U. The only way I have been able to get around it is to create a new user account for my Wii U. Unfortunately, this meant starting over, and there is no guarantee it won't eventually happen with the new account. It would be great if the freezing issue could be resolved. I see so many ads to add new dances, but I would hate to do that and then encounter new freezing issues.

I was going to post on the topic that had more posts on it, but I decided to post on here.

I've been meaning to do an update on this, but I didn't get around to it. Anyway, so far the game has been good at saving and playing, but that's because I've only played only about less than 1/3 of the songs in Unlimited. The only problem I experienced was today, when I played a new Unlimited song it kept buffering, and at the end when the dance was done, a mixture of weird noises and the song played, but nonetheless it still saved. I also played another Unlimited song, this one already having a score, and it buffered once, and I decided to just quit and stop playing. I don't know if that was my internet (doubt it) or it was something happening in Unlimited.

Anyway, it does frustrate me that it's April and virtually nothing has been done about it. I'm too hesitant to play more new songs (Songs that don't have a saved score) just because I am pretty positive that is what is causing so many glitches: having "too many" saved scores: not internet. It seems (and probably is) impossible to fully complete the game (Songs on disc and unlimited, mashups,WVC,Dance Quest, etc) on the Wii U without the game not being able to work whatsoever. While it is nice that new content is rolled out every month, if you can't play the content, what's the point of putting it on? (This doesn't apply to me, but it's like a broad idea of thinking)

It almost feels as if it's not being acknowledged that there's a problem even if it's said that it is. I suggested a pretty long while back that I suggest the testers to play everything (Songs on disc and unlimited, alts, mashups, community remix, etc) to see if that having too many scores was the problem, and it seems as if that testing has not happened, or only a minimal was done (Like doing just the on disc and nothing else) If multiple people (over the past 6ish months) suggest that they're internet is working fine, then it most likely isn't internet that's causing these glitches.

At this point, it seems like nothing is going to get fixed and they're just going to continue on with the next game without fixing the last, seeing has how nothing has been done about it. Unless they actually fix them or at least attempt to, then these complaints are just going to continue getting posted on these forums and social media sites.

    Hello guys,
First of all, I'm very sorry to hear about issues you're experiencing. Please make sure if reason for your problems isn't one of the following things:
    - check if you game disk isn't damaged.
    - in case of freezing JD Unlimited, please check if everything is okay with your Internet connection at the moment
    - check if your console isn't overheating
    - check if your console OS is up to date

If you made sure that your issues aren't caused by above mentioned reasons, please contact Nintendo support.

    Thanks,
    Zuzu

I just got the glitch where all my Unlimited avatars got locked. Gonna send this one to Support.

Update: Just got support from a chat and I checked my email for the answers: One said to System Update but I'm positive that it is already updated to the latest update, the second was to Delete Data, which I did not want to do. (I'm not going to constantly delete my data in order to play one song) (I deleted the update data and downloaded it again and it still didn't work) And the other didn't happen to me (I didn't have it freeze today and I don't have a bad disc) Going to open it up again.

With all these glitches it really makes it hard for me to still like it. The most annoying thing about these glitches is that since they don't virtually give any indication of it happening and that it saves often, you can't get the data you had back because it was overwritten by the most current save. It makes it virtually impossible to be able to save your data without anything corrupting.

    Freezing issues

    Zuzu,

Thank you for taking time to respond.

I have JD 2015 both on disc and as a digital download, but experience the same issue either way in the same place in the game. Evidently, then, it's not disc related.

I have contacted Nintendo support a few times. They were very courteous and had several seemingly good suggestions, like a system update, but none solved my problem. I almost sent my system to Nintendo, but they couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't lose my info. Then I discovered that by starting over as a new user, the freezing issue would go away.

I believe the previous comment has found the problem. My freezing problems started when I began to explore bonus songs and mash ups. So I am reluctant to try to finish the game or explore new songs. (I also have JD 2014 and 2016, but haven't yet made as much progress with those.)

Nintendo support actually gave me the phone number for UbiSoft, but when I called, it said that UbiSoft phone support was only available for resolving account access issues. All the Nintendo techs weren't familiar with this JD freezing issue, but now I see that others have experienced similar issues. Nintendo tech support might like to consider as a suggestion for other gamers with similar problems to try starting over with a new account and to avoid trying too many new songs, if indeed this helps as it has for me. If UbiSoft no longer offers game support by phone, the Nintendo techs might like to be aware of this, too.

Again, thank you Zuzu for commenting, and thank you to everyone else in this thread for sharing your experience. Partly, it's nice to know it's not just happening to you, and it's helpful to find new ideas to consider.

    Kindly,

    Chris
