But you are The "Professional." I'm sure even you anticipated this slight delay. Plus it gives the mere mortals like us time to try to attain the level of proficiency that you will undeniably be displaying on the 9th when you do get the game.Originally Posted by Proffesional Go to original post
Well, a few things:Originally Posted by Proffesional Go to original post
- Amazon does release day delivery. Which means they ship it out prior to 3/8, and it arrives to you on 3/8. Will that be first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon, depends on when the UPS / FedEx / USPS shows up at your house. This is no different than any by-mail order.
- If you have Amazon prime, the game only costs $47.
- Early to Mid Day on 3/8 is not 12-18 hours behind the rest of the US.
- The game is on a Blu-Ray disc, not a CD.
What were you expecting - for Amazon to break the street date and get it delivered to you on 3/7?
If you dont order a digital copy then you should expect to not get it right away. The world does not turn for you or video games. Mail services have ALOT of **** to do (I know because i work for fedex express as a driver picking up from companies). When 10 different places ask you to be there at the same time. 9 of them are going to be upset because you were what they call "Late" even though you are not late until you miss the time window.Originally Posted by Proffesional Go to original post
ReReading your post i have to ask what did you expect was going to happen if you order the physical copy through amazon?? Did you expect them to ship it to you early?? Or maybe have the truck driver at your door at 12:01AM March 8th?? And ofcourse they are not going to let you pick it up at their facility. Shipping is part of the deal.
Your best bet is to call whatever company they are using to ship it to you (Fedex/UPS) early in the morning or a day or two before and give them the tracking number and ask them to hold it at the station instead of sending it out with the truck driver. Then you can go to the facility and pick it up.
What I think happened:
Proffesional: **Buys game on Amazon, because he saw that sometimes they mistakenly deliver games early**
Proffesional: **Contact Amazon and asks, "Will you be delivering The Division early by mistake again?"
Amazon: "We plan to deliver The Division on March 8th, the release date"
Proffesional: "What!? I bought this game from you because I thought you'd deliver it early on accident again!"
Amazon: "Sorry, we did not change our policy to purposely ship things early after we accidentially shipped a game early once or twice"
Proffesional: "Let me speak to the Manager!"
Manager: **Deep Voice** "Yes, this is the Manager how may I assist you?"
Proffesional: "Satan!? Is that you!?"
Satan: **Deep Voice** "Yes, I am Satan, and you will never get your game early MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
It was then that Proffesional knew, he had to make another post on The Division Forums telling us of the horrors of Amazon, which is now managed by Satan. With his evil plan to release games on the release date.
They should just erase every other post from this thread and leave yours, then close the thread.Originally Posted by Flatlander57 Go to original post

"Amazon Orders will be last to arrive: Unreal and Sickening"
GETTING A GAME ON THE DAY OF LAUNCH DELIVERED TO THE MANS HOUSE IS UNREAL AND SICKENING TO HIM!!!
I cant be the only one that grasps how absolutely crazy that is. Talk about only child syndrom x100000
I'm more a person that will post if something is funny or I see something that could be a solution. In this case, its more serious. People will be upset with late arrivals as this will be a competitive game on launch day for a lot of people.
If this could be applied, its a simple solution. What if through Amazon, the codes are sent 2 hours in advance of launch to the console. If Ubisoft contracts the deal with Amazon, they could make sure that they link a permanent copy so everyone has an equal shot at playing it at the same time. Since even people who own it now will not be able to play it until the exact release moment, the solution could be easy.
If Amazon was able to make sure that you could download the virtual version of what you'll get a physical copy of late, you'll be a customer kept happy. The question is how viable this solution is between Ubisoft and Amazon. I hope for the best.
Now while I know I'm not in as much of a rush from some, I think there's way too many people who would be embarassed to admit they feel the same about Amazon. So if even these customers can be salvaged, it'll help Ubisoft. I'm not one who expects to play it on the minute, actually I'll be buying it the next week or when I'm less busy. However, there's lots of impatient customers who expect to play this game the moment its released whether its right or wrong.... that's the customers of impatient gaming.
LOL your plans for world domination in the game are turning to ash...Originally Posted by Proffesional Go to original post
