I have the same problem. All of the animals and enemies are gone in the open world. It seemed to start after I finished the poisoned water supply quest. I sent a message to customer support. I hope that they can help.Originally Posted by ArmyMirage Go to original post

Apparently the problem still exists. I am currently at level 47 and it's becoming creepily silent and devoid of animals. I've unplugged my Xbox and nothing has changed. I don't want to begin a new game after leveling up to where I am only to lose all of the items I have purchased and the progress I have made. Has there been any success from the DEVS to fix this or has it been forgotten? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US WITH THIS PROBLEM/BUG!?
It's been a year since someone said they were aware and were working on a fix. I just encountered this. I just did the escape from the snow cave mission last night. I fast traveled to an area to hunt Yak and suddenly, no NPC's, no birds, no fish, no animals. I get random missions to stop the carrier or rescue someone, but then there is no NAV point or people around. This is a pretty big glitch. I noticed it after, for no reason, I lost all my health and my animal companion died. I read a cave painting and then my health bar was blinking and my animal had the death timer. There was another animal in the area and after killing it all other animals ceased.
I quit from the Xbox Home screen and reloaded. After a few minutes they showed up again. Still, though, this bug needs fixed. This is the second time I had to reload the game to fix a bug in this game.
I had to do it about twenty times in Wildlands. I don't even want to get FC5 after all the trouble with patches and bugs I've had with Ubisoft games (Wildlands, Siege, Primal, FC3, FC4). I was seriously considering AC: Origins and FC5, but now I'm not so sure. It's like buying a car that constantly needs repairs. It doesn't matter if the repairs are free, the fact I was sold a car that was going to constantly have major issues is a let down. If I buy another car from that dealer or maker, I have not learned the any valuable lesson about the quality of that car business. Same applies here. Ubisoft is a great company with beautiful games. They are just released without the proper amount of testing to make a quick buck. I have the Division on PS4, but didn't install it after hearing the issues it had. I hear they are fixed, but the fact it took so long to fix a game that was pushed back numerous times before it was released broken is not something to applaud.
