A big rogue spot issue for me in the beta - Is this spot TOO GOOD?- Opinions welcome!

    https://youtu.be/V3ZEXrWeoWo

    Just a bit of awareness...

I'd love to get your opinion. It seemed like a huge problem (at least for me) in the beta and I'd like to see if any changes take place (probably not). I've heard a decent amount of mixed opinions. What are you thoughts?

Notice: I added this here because it's more Beta related than the general discussion I was on earlier.

If they want to leave this spot, then they need to lower it so that grenades, sticky bombs, etc. can be thrown/deployed up there more easily and also reach the back which would make it much more fair. In order to lose while back there with a smart group, you basically need to be overwhelmed by a larger number of players rushing up the ladder at the same time.

This spot has been brought up many times in the forums.

I think the general responses are:

    1) Rogues need a few safe havens
    2) You don't need to hunt the Rogues there... you see Rogues making a play for that spot...walk-away... no need to engage them.
    3) If you are hell bent on attacking Rogues there...do it with the right number of people and the right build

That being said, its still poor pvp design...pvp design should encourage fun pvp circumstances. The punitive conditions placed on going Rogue are kind of messed up, the thought that Rogues should be easy to find is kind of messed up, the thought that Rogues should just be chum running in the open is messed up, the thought that creating a choke point killing field for Rogues is fun is messed up.....I think that is the inherent problem with the DZ.....it should have been built to inspire epic pvp battles...instead its a pve zone were pvp only happens infrequently...and when it does the non-pvp'ers end up crying about the pvp....overall some strange design decisions.

All that being said, I did enjoy the DZ, I support any improvements to creating more frequent, better, and more exciting pvp!!!

Rogues DO NOT need safe havens.

Me and my squad kill every single other player we see. We are always Rogue. Have have used this spot before. It is invincibility.

Being able to kill people, then go get invincibility is stupid. Why not just let us exit the Dark Zone at that point? Or make it so pressing Escape on the keyboard removes Rogue Status?

Honestly this spot isn't the only issue with being able to exploit, the following changes are basically required to fix exploits:
    • Squads that included Rogue Players should be locked. (Cannot join, or leave squad, or be kicked from the squad)
    • You should not be able to switch items/equipment unless you are in a safe zone.
    • You should not be able to join a squad or log out if you have contaminated loot (Avoid switching servers for safe extraction).

    You can't fix stupid.

People will ALWAYS be stupid in videogames.

The only reason it is good DZ funds is because people continually climb the ladder to be shot in the face by a group of people. You can't "fix" that.

There will likely be many dead-ends in this game at full release. They can't fix the fact ladders are a natural bottleneck and they certainly can't fix people being stupid.

All I have to say is the only reason this was profitable for the rogues was cause players are dumb enough to keep funneling them kills when there is 4 rogues up there. They get too caught up in "I MUST COLLECT BOUNTY" that they completely lose any train of thought about "maybe its just best to leave them alone".

If there is 1-2 rogues up there, I could see the reasoning for trying to get their bounties, but when you see 4 up there? Just leave them alone. Not only will they not make that much DZ credits but they will also have to come back down when no one continues to funnel them kills.

    Common logic 101.

Does no one search the forums, or at least glance at the first page, before they make duplicate threads....

I had another clip where I killed 4 up there, but that aside nope, it's not difficult to push up alone or with a group because it's neigh impossible to avoid being naded up there, you could be the best group of players on the planet, it's only a matter of time before you run out of medpacks while the manhunt continues next to a spawnpoint less then 20m away...

They come down when their rouge wears off and you get nothing for killing them. I am guilty of repeatedly going up there and dying multiple times while trying to kill rogues. however, it was a beta, and I didn't really care. If this exists in the full game, I will not charge up the ladder without 5 other guys.
